Any comment on this?
Yes, it's expected
Time to upgrade for me. YOur creations are my favorite synths Urs, and now you make me buy a new computer XD
Well, wait... the glitches are expected at the moment of switching back and forth.

I wouldn't expect a quad core i5 to glitch with one or two instances of Diva or Bazille though. Not sure.

Nevertheless, I think that i7s are way to go.
Well, I have always had glitches ocassionally while running Multicore mode on my desktop PC, small pops and cracks while playing DIva. Just now are pretty much there all the time, if I turn multicore off they are gone, but obviously CPU use almost doubles.

If I remeber correctly I think you specified the multicore feature is supported for processor from Sandy bridge onwards (Core gen two), mine is generation one. I think other user confirmed he also got glitches while using multicore mode some time ago, also with a pre Sandy bridge Core i CPU.

So my CPU by now is a little bit old and maybe a many people are either on sandy bridge or on a core2duo so maybe this doesn't come around often, I am going to update for sure this christmas to a laptop with an i74th or 5th gen anyway.

But would be nice if it was clearer which CPUs support multicore.

By the way, does Diva and bazille use virtual cores (HT) or just physical cores?

Ah, okay, I always presumed that i5 automatically were a newer generation.

We just had a thread about multi threaded processing in the dev forum. Our implementation leaves the distribution of synth voices onto physical or virtual cores up to who knows best: The Operating System. I don't recall any significant differences with Hyper Threading and such switched on or off.

I did however come up with a hunch that might lead to better multicore performance in our plug-ins, especially if multiple instances of a plug-in are used. I'm going to experiment with that in some of the upcoming quarters.

I'd assume it's an easy fix as it works fine in 2.7.1. Switching between the 2.7.1 and 2.7.2 dlls reveals the issue immediately. VST 2, 32 bit version and it happens in several programs.

These screenshots should illustrate the issuse quite clearly:

Otherwise I love the option to turn off latency (ok, there's 1 sample in Presswerk but that's nothing). :-)
No problems with distorted audio here in Zebra, Hive, Presswerk and MFM2.

Please send more infos. OS? Host? Thanks.
Sorry, I was in a hurry and forgot...
Win XP SP3 and Samplitude. It's probably not a host issue though as the same thing happens in Christian Budde's VST Analyzer. I've checked with a file monitor to see if I could find something wrong/missing, but Zebra asks for the relevant config files. I noticed that the GUI config file has a new name in 2.7.2 but all seems to be perfectly fine in that regard anyway. So basically, the vertical font alignment works in 2.7.1, but is broken in 2.7.2 here. I'm not sure what else I can test right now...

Cheers,
Tobben

Its not a bug, but Tyrell should have bigger knobs :) they are quite tiny comparing to overal UI and to the Sliders :)

Try a different skin? It's pretty good with nBeat's 1978 skin.

Different is not the same ;)

I saved a preset in Diva with the following name: "...Diva Says...". Upon selecting the preset, although the preset sounds when played, the name doesn't appear in the name bar. Furthermore, I can't select the preset to drag it to another.

I'm guessing that the "..." is the problem. Any ideas?

There's a difference between ... (three individual dot characterss) and … (Unicode ellipsis, one character). Which one did you use?

Post

Err, the dot that shares a key with a right pointing arrow?

(The unicode character is a new one on me.)

I lost you there now. :D

Post

It was three individual dot characters immediately before and after some text. Try it yourself - see if you get the same behaviour?

Diva only accepts text characters and a few basic non-text characters. I doubt that the unicode ellipsis character would be one of them.

Post

Try to not start preset names with dots.

Post

Well, I won't do it again. :?

Any chance of a unified installer that allows us to install all of the products we have in one go? I have quite a few uhe plugins and updating each one individually takes some time (plus many password entries)

When comes the update for the Zebra HZ ?
