The developer used to be very active at KVR but I haven't seen him around.

just spent some time with the demo, then...went for it. running it in logic X 10.2, on el capitan. and so far...all good. i owned (!) a used OBX, when i was in school. this truly reminds me of it (altho this one's much easier to lug around).
impressive, and gonna spend the afternoon playing around with it...

Hmm it failed au validation for me (on Mavericks) - completely froze it in factfisherKing wrote:just spent some time with the demo, then...went for it. running it in logic X 10.2, on el capitan. and so far...all good. i owned (!) a used OBX, when i was in school. this truly reminds me of it (altho this one's much easier to lug around).

Well the au validation process is meant to protect Logic from buggy plugins so the problem probably lies with the fact that Mac is a new thing for OPX and they have not worked out all the kinks.braj wrote:Macs are so wonderfulaMUSEd wrote:Hmm it failed au validation for me (on Mavericks) - completely froze it in factfisherKing wrote:just spent some time with the demo, then...went for it. running it in logic X 10.2, on el capitan. and so far...all good. i owned (!) a used OBX, when i was in school. this truly reminds me of it (altho this one's much easier to lug around).

I'm just wondering how others get it installed yet it throws an error for you, that's what I think sucks. Why would it do that?aMUSEd wrote:Well the au validation process is meant to protect Logic from buggy plugins so the problem probably lies with the fact that Mac is a new thing for OPX and they have not worked out all the kinks.braj wrote:Macs are so wonderfulaMUSEd wrote:Hmm it failed au validation for me (on Mavericks) - completely froze it in factfisherKing wrote:just spent some time with the demo, then...went for it. running it in logic X 10.2, on el capitan. and so far...all good. i owned (!) a used OBX, when i was in school. this truly reminds me of it (altho this one's much easier to lug around).

which version logic? and 10.9.?... my theory (and it's just my theory, but based on what i'm seeing everywhere online)...if it works in el capitan, it should def work in mavericks and yosemite...aMUSEd wrote:Hmm it failed au validation for me (on Mavericks) - completely froze it in factfisherKing wrote:just spent some time with the demo, then...went for it. running it in logic X 10.2, on el capitan. and so far...all good. i owned (!) a used OBX, when i was in school. this truly reminds me of it (altho this one's much easier to lug around).

I ran into the issue that is mentioned in the new user area, where you may get some distortion after loading in a different bank. They say to just reload that bank, then it should clear up. I tried reloading it, and it didn't work. Also, any other bank I tried also had the same distortion.
Just in case that happens to you, here's what I did. I lowered my ASIO buffer size to 96 samples (effective latency 2.2 msec), so it was less than what I was using previously in Sonar, then it worked perfectly. I was able to load whatever banks I wanted, and it never happened again.

No dramas on the install / validation on 10.10.5 + Logic 10.2.0 but I haven't had much time to take the demo for a proper spin.

I think there are differences between the auvalidation tools in El Capitan and Mavericks though (which is causing some problems with El Capitan mostly)
