AmpliTube 4 does not contain the gear from AmpliTube 3, and the preorder price is good for anybody. However, those who purchased and registered AmpliTube 3 before September 2012 will have received a bonus of 20 JamPoints to apply the already-discounted preorder price. Those who purchased AmpliTube 3 more recently should still have some JamPoints which can be used as a loyalty bonus to bring the price down 30% if you have the JamPoints to do so.

OK, super confused now. How can both those things be true? AT3 gear and presets play through AT 4, but it doesn't contain anything from AT 3? What can that possibly mean?

The AT4 page you linked to doesn't mention "Amplitube 3" at all.

Completely lost. I guess I'll find out for real soon enough, since I pre-ordered, but this thread is very unclear.

It means AT4 is the new shell, CS version essentially, and the A4 full version comes with 5 amps, the mic room stuff, acoustic guitar plugin, all those things are exclusive to A4 full and not the A4 CS version, but anything you own from A3 or before will still be available to you in either the free CS or full A4.

I got the firehawk. I can't justify an axefx/kemper (wow, have THOSE gone up in price!) and was hoping that it would be something I could try with hopes of also them getting the helix (which they didn't)

LSS, turns out that "in a mix" it's as kosher as they come. If you looking for that blistering "sit there for hours just tweaking" thing you may not like it. If you just want to turn it on, use your ipad for some basic tweaking and get down parts (so nice to not have to worry about cpu for a change) then it has potential.

...and i am sure those american amps are exactly the same as in amplitube 3.
The 5 Brit amps are new.
.. buy AT4: Get old AT3 amps.. (new cabinet room.. i heard)
