Overall, I like AT4. I haven't really had the time to give it a thorough workout, but I do notice that similar configurations just sound better in AT4 than AT3. And the DAW thingy looks interesting, though not essential for my purposes.

The acoustic sim, which is really something I was looking forward to, is a bit of a mixed bag. It would be helped by some presets to get an idea of how to best use it. (Did I miss these? Are there "acoustic" presets that use the sim?)

Has anyone tried to approximate an acoustic tone on their electric? And, if so, would you possibly be able to share your presets?

Cheers

I cannot alter orders directly but let me know your ticket number and order number via PM and I'll see what I can do to get it to the correct department and see what's going on with your ticket. Thanks.

Ok. Thanks!

One thing: I haven't received any auto-reply email from IK support, so I don't know my ticket number. Just wondering if the support even received my ticket(s). :?

I do received "Topic reply notification" about my posts/replies on IK User Forum, so Outlook is not blocking mails from IK. Very strange.

Those are actually different systems but if you used the contact form there would not be a ticket number.

Strange, please contact support at http://www.ikmultimedia.com/contact-support/mi/ and they will take a look. Seems like you should have received JamPoints but there may be an issue - they'll definitely be able to help you out though.

Question for Peter or anyone who may have done this before--and sorry if I'm jumping in abruptly with this. I scanned through the thread, but KVR doesn't have a search feature yet...

I already have the Mark IV in Custom Shop, but I've been rethinking purchasing the whole Mesa Pack now that it's being offered with Amplitube 4. My question is how would the existing 35 credits I put towards the Mark IV be handled?

Also, just some feedback, but if IK were offering the new AT4 features with the Mesa amps/cabs (instead of the new Marshall ones), I'd have bought already. I'm having a tough time deciding now because I really don't care about the new Marshall amps. Just not a Marshall guy. But I really like the Mark IV and cabs.

Post

no, the 35 credits you spent on Mark IV won't be applied towards your price for Mesa pack.
I don't know what to write here that won't be censored, as I can only speak in profanity.

Post

And if I were to purchase the pack, then it would consume all 200 credits (not 200-35)?

This is what makes me a bit nervous about buying any gear on any of the Custom Shops. At some point I will likely get duplicates with some future group buy and make my purchase redundant. Especially when considering the pricier items.
If you have requests for Korg VST features or changes, they are listening at https://support.korguser.net/hc/en-us/requests/new

Yeah, now I know... I used some extra credits left over from a SampleTank buy to get the Mark IV, and I ended up liking the sounds I've been getting from it more than what I can do in the other amp sim I've been using. So now very interested in AT4, just not so much the bundled Marshalls.

that's the risk you always have to take, yes.

yes, that's right - it'll be 200.

So I'm sure I'm being thick, but where did patches go in AT4? Or is there a new way to map presets to MIDI program changes, and stomp switches and controls to MIDI controller numbers? That two-layer system always struck me as unnecessary, but something that fills that functionality is obviously needed. I'm sure it's in there, but apparently I'm blind.
