I'm very tempted as well, although I prefer short pieces (2mins or less!).
What I would loose! OK, let's purchase the player edition. It will be more restricted than the real synth but that is a plus for me because I will concentrate on how to use the provided presets (which anyway, there are many nice ones by top designers
).
I can use Drums and effects?! That will be fun!
OK, Player bought. I'm in!

Bülent said something about (hopefully) releasing Synthmaster V2.8 at NAMM in January 2016 before taking care of V3.0, so I am afraid you won't be able to use these filters for the competition.olikana wrote:is the new version with 0df filters released yet? i'd like to try a demo please. then hopefully buy it and participate.
Nevertheless we should all be able to show Synthmasters real potential without these - it already has so much to offer that it makes my head spinning every time I open an instance and begin to fiddle around with sounds

Oh man!! I've just started putting some tracks and choosing some sounds and BAM! Studio One v3 32bit made unbearable noise! There were about 5 tracks (instances of SynthMaster Player) and when I reach "FX Spacetable BT", it just crashes and make this noise, luckily I can remove the track with its instrument in Studio One without freezing the whole program.
I thought it is S1 problem, so I fired Reaper 5.0.4 32bit and it is the same exactly, when I reach "FX Spacetable BT", it crashes but without noise, so I needed to delete the track to return to the normal working Reaper.
Anyone has this problem with this preset? Are there more presets behaving like this, or is it something in my PC. By the way, the crash can be reproduced easily with me.
I'll try the 64bit of the 2 hosts and see, I just wanted to use the 32bit because I'm waiting for the VAZ Modular license.
[edit] Yep! it is the same with both 64bit hosts [/edit]
I'm using Windows 10 64bit.
[Edit 2] Well, I'm glad that there are many other great presets that work fine, so I will use Reaper this time and ignore the bad presets
Back to the killer beat
[/Edit 2]

Yes, I get this too. Just got the Player and so far three presets by Bigtone (all with the word 'table' in them oddly enough) send the audio into la la land! I've tried it in both Ableton 9.5 and Reaper and it's the same so I'm guessing it's a SynthMaster problem.EnGee wrote:Oh man!! I've just started putting some tracks and choosing some sounds and BAM! At a guess I'd say the 'table' presets are using a feature not available in Player and it's not handling it well but who knows!
I'm on Win 7 32-bit by the way so it's not a Win10 issue.

I had to do this twice yesterday. I don't know why this happens so often but it would be great if the problem, whatever is causing it, could finally be resolved.
Otherwise, great synth and can't wait to get working on my contest entry.

I assume that wagtunes does not use the Player but the full version (correct me if I am wrong, but I can't imagine that somehow). Therefore, it would affect all versions.wagtunes wrote:kv331 wrote:Hey guys,KingClarkie wrote:Yes, I get this too. If so, I'll try to reproduce that problem on my 64Bit Win8.1 system using Cubase 8 Pro and Synthmaster 2.7.6 full later today.
Just to be sure - the problematic presets from BigTone are included in the factory presets, right?

The only thing i don't like is 'public vote'.
Bad experiences with public voting, because the more friends you spam your track, the more votes you get, that's doesn't depend on pure musician skills, just the number of friends a participant got; it happened to me in ADSR contest one year ago, the guy had 450 friends, and i don't usually like to spam my friends to get votes in that way, i prefer people that really like my tracks and not spamming the typical "hey, give me a like or thumbs up".
A closed judge of non-participants musicians would work best in my opinion.
But well, anyway, i will take my hands on this, i need a bit of motivation.
I wish luck everyone, and thanks to Bulent for the chance
Have a nice day

Tried to replicate the BigTone preset problem without success - Synthmaster is running smoothly.
System: Windows 8.1 Professional 64 Bit, Core i7 920, M/B Intel DX58SO, 6GB RAM, AMD Radeon 270x GFX, Realtek ALC889 SFX
Software: Cubase Pro 8.0.30 64 Bit, Synthmaster 2.7.6 64 Bit
I have tried to flood it with midi signals including chords and rapid segments, changing LFO / filters while playing, all to no avail, so far Synthmaster acts rock solid here.
As soon as I run into any problem I'll report.

The problem is so intermittent that even I can't replicate it at will, which is why it can't be fixed because nobody really knows the cause. I can run Synthmaster for weeks without a problem. Yesterday, I had to delete my temp folder twice.FrankLaVerne wrote:Tried to replicate the BigTone preset problem without success - Synthmaster is running smoothly.

I'm trying to find some common pattern (something I've done) to cause this but I can't.
If this was repeatable, I am sure it would have been fixed by now.
