Murnau was a stage director not a nazi which died 1931 in Santa Barbara and Zeppelinhaupttribüne is because i'm interested in german buildings of that era (among other things) also i find the word funny and appealing anyway don't take that to serious.

Kudos to Urs for the detailed statement!
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

No problem antithesist i already learned that that all like murnau, zeppelin.. etc. can come over somehow nazi but it really isn't at least from my side.

Anyway, now i think your band have the potential for some smashing hits?! However i wish you good luck if that happen! :)

Cool. I think there are still aspects of drum machines that have not been fully explored. For example, the whole interface for programming drum patterns, we are stuck with a grid format but there could be other alternative interfaces that makes drum pattern development more fun. And solving the issue of slight variations that sound natural at each 8 or 16 bar end assisted by SW. Or easy automation of various elements in the drum engine for evolving drum sounds. Or a total mix-and-match of any kind of sample with any kind of element with an easy search engine to let's say build a 808-kick with 605 hi-hat and with a Simmons snare and some natural cymbals with artificial toms.

On that peculiar topic i'm wondering what a drum / inharmonic percussion polytimbral machine based on physical modeling could offer now that platforms have the power to handle such types of synthesis

You're right, man.
I just haven't saw such a FAT TROLL in years. I thought because of merciless banhammer hunting all species of Trollus Humongus Whinus are declared extinct around 2005 and in forum ecosystems has been replaced by thinner and better developed species.

All layering and variations could be solvable with ableton drum rack today.

Can relate to that. Since I switched from bass to (e-)drums last year as my main instrument (I always felt I'm more a drummer but never confessed), I have a strong affinity for all these things, especially what might be possible beyond the usual 'synthetic' sounds and what potential modeled drums can have in terms of playability (as opposed to just trigger samples). But it's tough stuff and requires plenty of brain cells to get right or put in a suitable context. A lot of interesting research has been done at various places but this rarely leaves the academic world, for a good reason.
