What about a drum machine that can synthesize LOTS of sounds? A kind of "the last drum machine you'll ever need"?
Please don't use that... there no such thing and it's a lame marketing scheme.

IFAICR, I haven't bumped into a REAL, FULLY FEATURED midi sequencer... one that integrates a classic step sequencer with a 128 "block" steps and a doepfer-like experience (something like ClockWOrK). it can be tied ONLY to u-He's synth, for all I care (as I own all of em...).

In all my years I NEVER stumbled upon one, really.
Professional technicians are assessed by the abilities they possess.
Amateur technicians are assessed by the tools they possess - and the amount of those tools, with an obvious preference to the latest hyped ones.

That said, inspiration is important. If someone has got great ideas that trigger me, I'm all ears. However, collaborations are typically synonymous to commitments. We've tried a couple of times to figure something out along the lines of licensing our stuff or working collaboratively, but it never panned out. We're too busy doing our own stuff. There isn't enough room to join into such a commitment and any such endeavour would probably end up in regret, and a lesser product.
I never really thought this would be fruitful either, but had to at least put the idea out there (you never know after all). As Sean also says in the video: You don't need his help. ;)
I make music like I play Tekken; randomly push buttons and hope for something good to happen.

A drum machine with FM and physical modelling synthesis + some nifty sequencing would be really cool.

Fill the gap Alchemy left here with something granular + additive resynthesis. Something in that direction (with a morphing part.. ..okay, one can dream) Who could bring that to the people if not U-he? :hihi:
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

Maybe zebra 3?

I think it would be cool to have sample import "osc" in zebra 3 :)

i kind of like the way Bob Moog responded to Walter Carlos' input. that started something.

i believe if Urs maintains, let alone improves, on the basic sound quality that underlies each of his synths, ie. great oscillators and filters, etc., that musicians will always find ways to take advantage of the unique configurations/modulations.

I love the way you think Urs. You are doing it right, just keep doing it and I'll keep smiling.

+1 for a drum machine.

IMO it it's the only part missing in the U-He library. One drum machine to rule them all.

U-he coffee machine that emulates old school analog coffee machines -- the way nobody would recognize is it emu or original during blind test.

You don't have the commercial backbone nor the cashflow of say, NI.

Focus on what sells, and for the rest, take a listen now and then to feature request but do not rely on it, trust your imagination, for it's what gave you the reputation you enjoy now.

And also, F*ck maintenance :) Just go with the perpetual beta policy and allow new ideas to flourish ! :troll:

Agree wholeheartedly. The way this thread has gone it would seem that uhe has been a let down. From working on zebra2, presswerke, bazille, and mfm2 in conjunction with my other stuff this my experience has been the opposite. It's a free market: i.e. You can buy/use what you want.
