in live you can do all what you want..stop.

if team deicide to unlock modular system and make the daw more elastic in some things ,maybe people starts to consider to buy this...

if we see 2.0 after 1 or 2 years i think only who enjoy to make tester continue to use this..because this is the reality...we are tester here.

i enjoy with this daw but i continue to make my works in ableton because is better,i want to do a thing, live do it!!!...if they started with modular unlock from 1.0 i think a lot of people consider to buy this daw(see max and reaktor history)...so,i really need to have a license that i don't use so much??

i really consider to sell this daw again..and when they are at 2.0 is too late to catch users from other daws, because other daw do something else better...hope they do the right choice in the future updates...else continue to stay with 0.77%

this is only my point of view and sorry for the offtopic

So the constant cpu spikes I was getting with 1.3.5 are gone, but I still get a cpu spike here or there... big overall improvement!

Live - Enterprise D - Clean, clear, inviting, spacious, not too busy, pretty grey, open minded
Get your own metaphor! :x

I couldn't disagree with you more. Live is sharp and caustic and makes me want to open something else. It's useful in spite of it's UX. To each their own, for which I must ask: why are you using Bitwig?

If Bitwig was anything like Live I wouldn't have touched it.. period!

and if anyone thinks that Bitwig devs will just be content with 2.0 you have no idea how these people think... period!

So if you don't know what this DAW currently is? or believe in where its going? easy; go and enjoy the bliss of following the herd!

I think I am an early adopter and early adopters never enjoyed easy.

Well Bitwig does a lot that Live doesn't. It would be a big list.

It may or may not fix it, but it certainly won't screw up anything :)
I've got some weird crashes with 1.3.5 (windows 10), screen goes to full grey and I have to log out. I've noticed that all of my task tray applications become actual windowed open programs on the alt+tab screen when it crashes. So I'm thinking that something fundamental is wrong. I also get a glitch that changes the title bar of Bitwig to the Windows XP standard title bar when clicking on a plugin or window that is not part of the main Bitwig window (VSTs or going to another application on a different monitor). The window function buttons or whatever (the minimize, restore and close buttons) aren't real, though. What I mean is that they are just a visual glitch and when I mouse over the actual location of the Bitwig window function buttons, they show up through the Windows XP title bar (I'll post a screen shot in a sec).

I've read these things on this forum or (the Bitwig Answers thing) before and I know that they've been submitted to support already, but I'll still send one in.

Question, though. Do I install any 32 bit versions of the above due to Bitwig.exe being 32 bit?

EDIT: this is what the titlebar looks like when it glitches:

And yes, Aero is enabled, newest drivers, and lots of frustration and lost time when the full grey screen crash happens (my autosaves have always been intact, though).

Two things that i still can't understand is:

a) Why we still can't rename devices?
b) Why we can't paint straight lines in velocity editor?

While I agree that releasing without the modular system was definitely a miss, I understand that they first want a solid DAW before adding that functionality before. With that said, they have most definitely not lost consumers due to their decision. Bitwig 2.0 (as long as their milestones have been implemented) will be the most advanced DAW, with competitors struggling to catch up due to sloppy foundation. With artists such as Deadmau5 and Dodge & Fuski using this DAW already, when the live collaboration gets added, many others will be interested.

I also don't really get what you mean what you mean when you suggest that Bitwig isn't as capable as Ableton?
