I don't get stuck notes when playing, but when i'm listening.I was so annoyed about that so i have to render all OP-X tracks to wav, using Reaper.

32bit usually crashes Live on me. Did some back and forth emails about it a long time ago. In the update, I noticed he said there was no need to fix the 32 bit version as nobody had reported any problems with it for a long time. Actually, I just stopped reporting. Was getting nowhere. Is it really just my system?

It's $85 and has been for a long time.TheoM wrote:wow $179
really has to make you think when many of us paid less than $199 for the entire Arturia collection with 12 synths.
I love OPX Pro but he has to get real with pricing IMO.

I agree, I wouldn't spend $179 on it today. €85 is way more reasonable. I don't know what it would take to increase the GUI size, but that would probably be worth another €20 to me. Regardless, I'm glad I own it.

The synth looks great and sounds great as well. The demo is very impressive: (posted it before I think) and I got it on my iPhone. Like it that much
However to be honest I do not see what this synth offers me over Logic's ES2.

OP-X Pro II is an emulation of an Oberheim OB-X hardware symnth but with some additional features compared to the hardware.Dúnedain wrote:The synth looks great and sounds great as well. The demo is very impressive: (posted it before I think) and I got it on my iPhone. Like it that much![]()

Oberheim synths have a kind of typical basic sound and many peopüle seem to like that Oberheim sound.
The reason ehy there are so many analog like synths based on more or less similar features is that the usually have a different basic sound where the filter has the biggest impact.
Other nice Oberheim like synths are the free OBXD and commercial synths like arturia Oberheim SEm V, Arturia Matrix-12V and the Uhbie filter in U-He Diva.
Not sure how close ES2 sounds to an Oberheim or has similar features. I never owned a Mac myself and am currently using Windows 10 64-bit.
BTW as you entioned Largo and Electra 2.1 in another thread it's the same about wavetable synths and also other synthesis methods. Synths that seem to have a comparable feature set could have a much different basic sound. For example Serum based on the features looks great but sound wise i really do not like it somehow (and i had checked the demo multiple times FWIW, also based on the "hype" here at KVR). Sound wise i prefer wavetable synths from Waldorf, the new UVI Falcon and also some others.
Of course with wavetable synths also the included wavetables do matter and in the Waldorf synths those are great IMO and also UVI Falcon has several very nice ones (and the factory content includes a lot of them...).

Is it still in beta, as stated?

Please note that the new Mac and x64 versions still are in beta state and so still may have some minor bugs.

The Win 64x sure doesn't feel beta. That may be a disclaimer just in case, or mostly perhaps for Macs.
