How do I know which Arturia plugs where used to get my upgrade to v4, and which where not?

Post

I would (and did) ask their support people, explaining just what you plan to do. I was told to upgrade to the V collection first, then sell the old ones. I've sent a second support request to be sure I understood what is and isn't allowed. Will have to wait for Monday for a reply; I didn't ask until last night, long after they'd left the office for the weekend.

It's not like my house is on fire, super urgent :D

It would be good to know if it could be stated in the Arturia Service Center, as I got both Analog Lab and Analog Laboratory, and Storm registered

I'll post what I learn here.

It's just a case of checking what you're buying....was the offer worded as an upgrade? The offer I received only said I had been selected to purchase the collection at a special price, and my purchase invoice has no mention of it being anything other than the standard version.

To quote Arturia:
Arturia is celebrating music and musicians by offering special limited time deals on the V Collection
Do I get the complete version of the product I buy? Yes, the product you get with this offer is the same as the one you would get outside of it. http://www.arturia.com/vcmusicthroughtheages

Mine wasn't worded as an upgrade, but support did mention not selling my old licenses until I'd paid for the collection. *shrug* So I dunno.

I think that makes sense. You only got the special price as an existing customer. Support are implying if you sold your licences before buying the V collection the loyalty offer might be withdrawn.

Okay, I'm really impressed. I just got a reply on my request, late on a Saturday night (in France). That's twice Amine has surprised me with promptness. Superb support.

I got nothing so far, but its only been about 1 or 2 days.

I sent my request yesterday but don't recall just when.

The word was that after buying and registering/activating the collection, it was okay to sell my non-NFR licenses. I've still got three NFRs, which of course must remain mine despite being redundant now. Whether that makes a difference I couldn't say, so to be safe it might be wise to contact support with your particulars before selling.

Hey Meffy, how did you get NFRs? Do Arturia products become NFR after being sold second-hand once, like some companies? And are the NFR products clearly indicated as such in your user account? Thanks!

A well-behaved signature.

Yeah, they can be quite tedious. I have four of their instruments so should be entitled to the $69 offer for the full V Collection 4, but it's taking ages for them to acknowledge this.

Be sure your account has a current email address. I had to change mine from one from a previous ISP before I could get my registrations straightened out.

Cheers Meffy. They came through. I remain a happy Arturia customer.
