Having an up-to-date OS is always a good idea, but on the other hand, I've been in IT for 30 years now so I'm confident enough in my ability to manage a PC. My DAW is stable and every other plugin I have demoed or bought works perfectly. No other plugin I have ever tried has had a reliance on a version of IE or a particular Windows update. I thought it was rather odd that SGA brought that up as a reason why Code Red Free was crashing. Others have crashing issues too so it isn't just me. Perhaps SGA could've said "hmmm, that is strange, let me check the code and see what might be happening here as others are reporting similar issues".foo21345 wrote:Rant much?!IMHO having your OS up to date is not an unreasonable requirement. I'm rather curious to know how much would you've ranted if the requirement was iLok2?
As for iLok2, well, I have a number of soft-iLok plugins so I'm cool with that. And if it needs an iLok dongle, then I'll move on.
Oh well, enough ranting
