I voted for better midi. Especially ghost clips. For the love of gosh T2 better have ghost clips
Lets see exactly how many of us want certain features...

I'm a bit shocked to discover it doesn't have ghost clips. I've not used it much to be honest
That mean if I've got a repeating sequence and I want to change a note, I have to delete the lot bar one, change that one and then copy it back to the rest?
That's a cunter.

Surely that would be a breeze to code for Jules? Loads of clip objects referencing the same midi-data? I'll be mighty surprised and f**ked off if its not in T2.

Keep in mind, this is kvr-vst.com, the poll will be extremely skewed towards midi.
It seems to be quite the opposite that most people who use tracktion are using it for the audio section... there's only a small handful of users here really...

sooner or later you will be itching for a lot of things which eXT offers but Tracktion doesn'tAD80 wrote:Yes thats exactly what that means. I've gottan so fast at it now it takes me milliseconds to do it but still. Its a hassle. Especially after EXT got ghost clips. I'm itching for them in T now.

Bollocks to a 'mixer'. What's the difference between a 'mixer' and all the same parameters that are laid out differently a la Tracktion? I've just answered my question. Tracktion's different layout is certainly no less functional.
Anyway, I spoke to Jules about the piano roll at Tracktionfest and he told me that the main thing was to include stacked lanes for midiCC/automation data underneath the piano roll. I then said that a separate window for the piano roll would really help things, but he replied that he didn't plan to do this. The result of this isn't looking too great in my opinion. An expanded midi track with lanes underneath is going to fill the entire vertical space of the screen. . . Yuck!! It would then make more sense to just open a window rather than navigate to something that takes up the entire arrange page (or whatever it should be called). I think that a separate window for midi would work fantastically on dual monitors.

I like the Tracktion approach but it's not always suitable. I want a separate window alongside the tracktion's current method, which incidently is what eXT has!!!!! Except it's execution is a little clunky.AD80 wrote:I had that in Cubase. Its not that fantastic. Its just a different way of working I guess.chagzuki wrote: I think that a separate window for midi would work fantastically on dual monitors.
