Group options into categories where possible and either have others in a universal category or have those leftovers just as they are. It's difficult traversing that list with patience!
Yes i understand, that's already on the wishlist.
My apologies for repeating it!

One other minor, general, unrelated to M7 FR, just a point to note:
What
Where
Which

Maybe better as:
Device
Location
Search

Loving the enhancements, just going to test the sequencer/arp now and will let you know of any issues.

For me the step sequencer is a real beast. You have to try this!
Audio rate modulation is similar expansive in it's capabilities.
Put the two together and things can't get any better!
Wait for some "modular synth" copies i am looking into atm :)

Congratulation to Jo for this incredible update.

After a short play with the Step Sequencer I am a bit confused as to how this works! I've never used a software step sequencer before, although looked at a few, I wasn't prepared to learn a 32bit only piece of software when I plan on moving to 64bit. This thing is so different to anything I've used before and doesn't work as I would expect. I've checked the short section on the module section of the manual but it didn't help.

I would expect this to work by holding a note to activate the sequencer and retrig notes on the steps that are activated. But it doesn't do that either if Arp is activated, it seems to act more like a gate. Is this correct? Maybe I've set it up wrong? Quite probably my fault, I don't really understand the MuX except the basics.

I created a synth yesterday and added the step sequencer to it. The Event Input is connected to Osc 1, 2, 3 and the Step Seq. The Step Seq is connected to Osc 1,2 and 3. Is that correct?

Also, is it possible to add to the front panel or is this planned?

this is my question also.. does Mux have a new step sequencer also, or only Mulab?
Its a module within Mux :)

It's hard coded.

Yes the Step Sequencer module will also be available in the MUX Modular 7 VST Plug-In.

Basically: The step sequencer is driven by incoming notes. How exactly is defined by the Start/Stop mode. By default it's simply like this: It starts playing on receiving a note-on, and stops playing on receiving a note-off.

Try this:

New project
Drag the Basic Synth 1 slot down
Insert Step Sequencer before Basic Synth
Switch on some steps in Step Sequencer
Play some MIDI notes on your keyboard
That should start you up

Not yet available. Planned? It's on the wishlist, yes, but in some reduced version i expect cause it's too big.

Thanks runaudio for the setup. It works how I'd expect, press and hold a key to start step seq and it plays the sequence. But My patch doesn't do that?

I created a synth to emulate a VST called CS Piky by ColourShape or something like that. I added the Step Seq and it doesn't work the same as the MuDrum example. Here's my Piky Mux.

Also, Auto Transpose is selected but greyed out, why is this?

Auto Transpose is not available when Arpeggiator mode is on because then the input notes are used to make the arpeggio.

Thanks Jo, Ah so I must use the Step Seq in a parent Mux? Not, for example, within the Basic Synth itself? I'll try that!

Excellent, I assumed it's be a smaller version. Some tips if I may...
1. Have Pads, which are currently available, as Steps.
2. Have Knobs for Transpose, Note number, Velocity, etc.

It seems some presets wont play, is this because we're in test phase ?
