You can use the Step Sequencer outside a PolySynth or inside a PolySynth. It results in different behavior. When used outside a PolySynth the notes generated by the Step Sequencer will each generate new voices in the synth that follows (unless it's a mono synth of course), but when used inside a PolySynth then the notes generated by the Step Sequencer will be used within a single voice. It's different.sl23 wrote:Thanks Jo, Ah so I must use the Step Seq in a parent Mux? Not, for example, within the Basic Synth itself?

Hm, the new step sequencer reminds me of the Play Room to read about it! I'll hope to try the new version out over the weekend. (I actually hope it's sooner!)

Thanks runaudio. I'll check that when I have more time, it's getting late now.
A minor bug first though?
In my CS Piky clone, Osc 2 was quiet, I deleted it which deleted the front panel Waveform Display and Button. Previously the WD copied the colours of other Front Panel components, even the transparency, which it seems is not an option for this component! But When I added another oscillator to replace it, thinking I had inadvertently adjusted something causing it to be quiet, I tried to recolour it as it was before, but it wouldn't copy the same transparency setting as it did before.
Originally I created this Mux in M6 final version, whereas currently I am editing it in M7. Perhaps this is the issue?

Not sure what you mean. Adding a new front panel component does not automatically copy colors (iirc).sl23 wrote:A minor bug first though? Previously the Waveform Display copied the colours of other Front Panel components, even the transparency, which it seems is not an option for this component!

No I know but when I copy colours from another component to WD it doesn't copy transparency only solid colour.
Maybe I missed something?

Note that some front panel colors use transparancy, others don't. If the target color doesn't support transparancy (eg. a parameter's knob color) then the copied color's transparancy is ignored.

Yes I understand, but previously it had transparency even though choosing a colour doesn't seem to support it?! I'm not sure what I did, you can check it out for yourself if you don't mind downloading my CS Piky Test mux linked above.
My PC is off now so if you can't find the problem or understand what I'm getting at, then I'll detail it next time I'm online.
Cheers
