As for the Presonus Studio one v3 comparison brought up here:
imho: I'm having latest Studio one v3 build here and it is similiar in some aspects, yes. But then again it is much more eyefrinedly in that the objects in Studio one haven't got this strong radient appearance. I think this is the absoulte main issue for me. The gradient colours. In Samplitude I can among other things decide: flat or gradient and it's a huge difference for my eyes.
imho,
regards

After a week of use, I think I now actually prefer the look of T7, gradients and all, to Studio One 3, which otherwise I still think looks remarkably similar. Regardless, adding simple 'turn off gradients' and 'reduce accent color saturation' options to T7 would likely meet most users needs. (I know it's impossible to make everyone happy).kvruserr wrote:As for the Presonus Studio one v3 comparison brought up here:

Also, during this period as I've been testing Studio One v3.2 and T7 on my MacBook, I've experienced about two dozen 'poof to desktop' crashes in Studio One, and only one in T7 (fixed by removing a dodgy plug-in). Lots of the sort of little weirdness that you expect on a version release (like deleted plug-ins not clearing visually), but pretty darn stable so far.
And Comic Sans for the font makes everything more classy.

Reviving an old thread, I know (and I'll make sure I'll post this in a few more similar threads)...
...BUT...
I've purchased ALL updates ever since Tracktion 2. That's right, it's been over 15 years. I love the Tracktion concept and workflow.
However I'm still using Tracktion 5, juste because I am able to fine tune the colour scheme, which is a big part of MY workflow.
(I know I could also use T6, but it's way less stable on my Mac than T5).
Ever since T7, all their schemes have become - sorry to put it that bluntly - plain UGLY. Awful. Terrible.
I have made several requests, I have even sent screenshots of what my scheme looks like, to no avail.
You can choose between 7 terrible themes. I would be ready to actually PAY SEVERAL HUNDRED QUID, just to be able to use one that is acceptable to me - including BLACK waveforms and less vivid colours, just like in T5/6. Ever since this trend of “dark modes" has been around, form over function seems to be the way to go. The latest W11.5 update was the last for me.
I'll be sticking to T5 for as long as I can, while trying to get used to another DAW...
Bye Tracktion.
