Nice patch Andreas, thanks. And thanks for the update Jo.

Post

it would be great if mulab had a little noteBook maybe put in the next version

Post

That's not planned. Recommended way = Put a text doc in your project folder.

There are free VST for this, try : https://www.meldaproduction.com/MNotepad

Thanks for the 7.0.10 update, I can now save multisample presets.
There is something that doesn't seem to work well : in the browser, when I choose "samples", "this project" and "delete unuseds", it doesn't delete all the unused samples of the project.

I've poor eyesight and usually complain quick enough but I'm not finding a problem at 1920x1080 on a large screen. I don't need higher resolution for anything I've found.
I'm on a 2560x1440 monitor and it's just not readable. 27", no less. Font hinting is blurry.

As more and more 2560x1440 (or retina!) laptop are coming to the market, fixing this is the difference between life and death.

A few FRs to make the browser useful for an fxp-based workflow.

FR: browser should do something actionable with fxp files. Drag and drop does nothing. Should add an instance of the vst on the track if none exist, or change the preset if one exist.

I'm talking about 'all files', where: folder with fxp files.

FR: button 'select next and drop again' (or enter) should add an instance of the vst on the track if none exist, or change the preset if one exist.

FR: dragging and dropping to a track from windows explorer should instantiate the fxp.

FR: Alt N should save the preset in the default folder (the one open in the browser). Right now we have to 'save as fxp', then press Alt N. Which is wasteful.

FR: after saving a preset, it should be listed in the browser (autorefresh?)
---
Undo FRs:
FR: right now if I change a knob and press crtrl z, it doesn't revert to the previous position. If I change a preset, and undo, the previous preset doesn't appear. If I close a window, and undo, the previous window doesn't appear.

This is what I meant by 'it doesn't work (as expected). I have no clue what goes into the undo stack but it clearly not what I expected. Making it more 'normal' is a 'sine qua non' feature for me.

---
I can see how Mulab with these few fixes could become my go-to daw! Thanks

FR: assignable shortcut to close windows. (I would use esc). With buttons as tiny as mulab window management is one of the least ergonomic parts of the workflow. Also clicking the tiny fonts to get the vst window again.

change the knee on the compressor to db change the release on it as well up 4000ms

Maybe because the samples are still used in multi-samples? Maybe you first want to "Delete Unused Multi-Samples"?

I did indeed try phase, but I got nothing. Then again, I didn't know there was a mode to be switched.

Anyway, thanks for the mux and the advice. :)
I started on Logic 5 with a PowerBook G4 550Mhz. I now have a MacBook Air M1 and it's ~165x faster! So, why is my music not proportionally better? :(

I attach a simple test patch , play a little with the envelope,pitch,etc..and look inside the modular area
if you want classic fm, choose PM (look for phase modulation) as already explained AndreasD

@AndreasD thanks for the beautiful patch

I have created some multisamples and saved them in a "MultiSample" folder I have created into the User folder.
In the Mulab browser, if I choose "Multi-Samples" and "User Library", I don't see my multisamples...

Post

Not clear what you tried. You created the multi-sample using MuLab and saved it using MuLab and it ended up where on disk? Did you move it from where it got saved? If so, MuLab won't find it.
