You wanna know the size of my pencil?! That's a bit personal!mutools wrote:sl23, what's the size of PencilCursor.png in your graphics folder? If it's not 416 bytes or if there is no PencilCursor.txt then reinstall.
Seriously though, I reinstalled and all is good

Nice! I figured it out, only just had a chance to play with it, Step Seq I mean!mutools wrote:With the new front panel options you can make such MUX front panel.sl23 wrote:Just a thought for saving space...
How about getting rid of all those lanes and simply have 3:
1. Knobs for Velocity
2. Knobs for Note Value
3. Pads for On/Off
Anyway, I know it's not time for FR's, but I'll forget if I don't post it...
I've added a single row of 16 Steps, but I'd like it to be say, 64 Steps long. Trouble is it takes up too much screen space. Could we please have some way of jumping to the next 16 Steps, then the next 16, and so on.
So it shows Steps 1-16, press a button and Steps 17-32 are shown. You then want to go back to the beginning so press a back button for showing Steps 1-16 again.
Either simply Back and Forward, or, a separate button per specified number of steps. In this case One button per 16 Steps = 4 Buttons. 128 Steps = 8 Buttons, etc. I say buttons because this would allow external control of selecting this function from a Hardware MIDI controller.

I'm sorry but i don't regard this as a bug. It's an ambiguous case, it could also be called a user mistake. I understand your concern though but for now (M7.0) i'll keep things as is. It's the plan that, in a future version, the Export Consolidated Project will export the project directly into a zip file. That will solve this case too.replicant X wrote:I found one bug. It can be a specification though.
1. Start new project and load some samples and audio files.
(e.g.: Sample1, Sample2, Audio1, Audio2)
2. Export Consolidated Project to {desktop}/destFolder
3. Reopen the project from {desktop}/destFolder
4. Add some samples and audio files.
(e.g.: Sample3, Sample4, Audio3, Audio4)
5. Export Consolidated Project to {desktop}/destFolder with "Empty Dest. Folder" option.
Result: Samples and audio files that previously loaded are gone.
(Only Sample3, Sample4, Audio3 and Audio4 are saved.)
I think samples and audio files should be temporary saved to a temp folder before making empty the destination folder.

Getting back on the fact that collapsed racks now only show very small part of the rack name due to the added on/off switch. What about showing that on/off switch only on wide racks, not on collapsed racks? Would that be a good idea? See this preview:

Hi Jo
I personally prefer to have the on/off switch it does not seem bad and improves the workflow,I find it very useful.
Visually it looks pretty good and the rack name for me is not a problem ,just hold the mouse a few seconds and the name appears in full.
The current situation seems a good compromise.

Attached is a Basic Step Sequencer MUX preset that takes advantage of the front panel integration. It can be plugged in at any point. It looks like this:sl23 wrote:Nice! Absolutely not -- it's on the collapsed state I want it!mutools wrote:What about showing that on/off switch only on wide racks, not on collapsed racks? Would that be a good idea?
For now, I prefer the truncated title as is. In future, having it "ghosted" vertically over the volume meter could be an option. Indeed, I'd actually prefer the collapsed state narrower than it is - there's a lot of blank width there, which means I have to scroll the rack to get to the ends.

Wow! Thanks Jo, I didn't know you could put buttons at the left. Can't wait to check that out, see how you did it.mutools wrote:Attached is a Basic Step Sequencer MUX preset that takes advantage of the front panel integration. It can be plugged in at any point. But... That's not actually what I was getting at. It's the actual step Led 's that I was referring to. The step numbers where the loop is indicated. Did you understand what I'm requesting here? It seems you thought I was still trying to ask for the previous request.
You know that the virtual keyboard at top right is scrollable, well, the steps in a pattern should be scrollable too. But not the same way as keyboard as this is cumbersome and not midi controllable.
For example, an electribe sequencer has left and right buttons to move the editable steps to the next bar(s) as only 16 steps are shown. Obviously this is a hardware and size limitation. The same applies with front panel. You can't show 64 or 128 steps in a pattern so scrolling is required. Hence buttons are needed. As I said above, either buttons for back and forward or, a button per 16 steps, which would be best, and allow these buttons to be used in conjunction with midi controller.
