Had a chance to capture the sound of the five filters yesterday at the lovely U-He booth, so here they are (in YouTube audio glory):

I'm very excited about this
We can finally prove "yes, zero delay feedback makes a difference". But if we have to admit that "ah well, that difference ain't worth the CPU" we'll announce "black magic" render quality for Diva in a heartbeat.

So does the Fullversion of the repro 1gonna have some dedicated software outs for sending cv, gate act ect?Urs wrote:
RePro-1 sending Audio, CVs, Gate and Trigger information to modular via Expert Sleepers stuff. In this patch RePro-1 oscillators run through Wasp filter controlled by Doepfer ADSR - which is triggered/gated by RePro-1. MFB VCA is controlled by RePro-1 VCA envelope and RePro-1 ModWheel is also added to Wasp filter cutoff.

We hope so. However, this can cause a lot of grief in certain hosts. Logic for instance likes to mix all unconnected outputs into the main out -> instant noise explosion... We will see...

looking forward to this.
though i'm curious, in the case of the cv interactivity (via expert sleepers stuff), what's the benefit of using repro to send the trigger signals instead of just the midi directly ?

That is a membrane keybed serial number. So, unless the owner replaced it, that will be one of the saddest Pro Ones you ever feel. I'd rather have crumbling, sticking key bushings on a J-wire. Ask me how I know!Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote:Look, RePro-1 is already killing the secondhand prices of Pro-One's. Here's a guy 30 minutes from me, just outside of NYC, selling a working original for $800.

It's tempting.
I'm part-way through replacement of my membrane keybed with a Fatar keybed from a donor MIDI controller.
That said, the guts of that unit are still worth more in the marketplace if all the Curtis chips are good.

I'm really looking forward to this! It would be really nice to have the sound of a Pro-1 without its awful hardware!

* possibly more emulations (RePro-DG/DC/Bee)
Murderous duck!

If I could wish for one emulation, it would probably be the Synton Syrinx!
It differs at least a little bit from the usual saw/pulse -> LP filter -> amp structure and seems like a really interesting synth in general.
The Crumar Spirit would also be nice, for the same reasons.

I don't know the Syrinx, but trust me, the Crumar is too weird. The signal flow must have been thought out by The Riddler himself.NerdMcBoon wrote:If I could wish for one emulation, it would probably be the Synton Syrinx!
