Yes that's on the wishlist.

No problem -- I wasn't expecting the "extreme" version to be taken up. I'd had to do it myself in Reaper, so getting into the product wasn't really expected. Thanks for doing the tooltips - they'll help. (Maybe I need a new QD display... mmm...)

1. I like the new compromise with the quick tool tip... better than before I think...
2. I don´t know if this a bug or just not thought about: It would be nice if browser presets could save the "unfold" level...

I made a preset for Mux devices, unfolded ... and it restores it like this...
I tried the same for Presets (unfolded 1 level deeper) but restoring comes up to the top directory (just effects and instruments)
For sample files and midi files it works, but not for the user library...

Happy to hear you guys appreciate/like it. I know it's a compromise, but i'm confident it's a practically working one. I agree at least something had to be done about the collapsed racks, then name had become too short indeed. I regard this as fixed for M7.0.

That's indeed not included yet, those presets only store the What+Where+Which.
Tip: If you want to see only part of a MUX library then click Where -> Browse for folder -> then select that specific folder and then save that as preset. That will get you close to what you want, i think.

Thanks for the new improvements Jo
Agree with the other guys , I really like the new tooltip is a clean and elegant solution :tu:

about this ,maybe just an impression but it seems that something sounds better.

No that change should not make any difference sound wise.

I thought also concerns a sound improvement, then it is just an impression "the placebo effect",probably I'm getting better in the creation of the patch.
However the sound in M7 is excellent,my other synths crying ,totally abandoned them.
I am also exploring the new factory library, very beautiful, thank you Jo.
I will continue to fully explore M7.

Hi Jo-

What is your email address so that I can request an M7 test key?

Thanks

Two questions:
- are we nearly there yet? :) (It feels like we're pretty close now.)
- will there be a MuX pre-release release? That is, is it needed at all as most of it's in MuLab anyway?

I've been wondering about Automation Sequences for the Sequence Player module? Currently it only takes note sequences.
This is nothing too important, but I just had the situation where it would've come in handy to have that. HOWEVER, the reason was because I needed pitch bend automation for which a curve would've been ideal, but I don't know how I can use the Envelope module to be used for pitch bend?

Getting closer every day. Currently improving a certain aspect of the step sequencer, as you'll see soon. Then i still also have to further update the docs, make videos, M7 demo track, ... All by all, it will still take a couple of weeks i think.

Yes there will be MUX Modular 7 test packages soonish.

You can include pitch bend into a sequence.
but I don't know how I can use the Envelope module to be used for pitch bend?
You can use a Multi-Point Envelope and connect it to the pitch modulation input of (an) oscillator(s).

Sorry, I wasn't clear enough about it: it's about controlling other VSTs in the MUX area, not the polysynth.

YES, I know you can use the choppy modulation lane of the sequencer to address pitch bending, but one has to use [change time] on a modulation sequence in hopes to get any control over it, since it's very coarse in time quantization.

The day before yesterday I started with the latest OSC (#86), which uses "Sinnah", a rather experimental synth that has virtually no midi modulation other than pitch bending. To create a kick drum I decided to use pitch bending, for example. But the only way I know of to create midi pitch bending data inside a MUX is via a Sequence Player. Since the modulation lane is so coarse, I made a slow but somewhat soft pitch bend ramp and then used [change time] at [percent]:10% to squeeze it into a softer curve at a decent speed.
If I had a curve sequence like for automation tracks, it would be much nicer.

I still think it would be most awesome to be able to switch sequence modes instead of hoping to get a curve or notes. I had it often enough that a track would give me automation curves after I did some recording, utterly puzzling me. I never quite remembered the exact circumstances, though. I just know I didn't use [add automation track].

If you want to, I can post the MUX for it here. "Sinnah" is still very fresh, though, still in the process of being worked out. Thus, sounds may come out differently when you load it up, haha.

What is needed here is a module that can convert modulation data into pitch bend events. Then you can use a MPE connected to such converter and that connected to the VST. That way you can use the flexible multi-point envelopes to send picth bend to the VST. Now i thought that would already be possible but it seems that the MIDI Controller Generator module does not yet support pitch bend. That could be supported either by extending that MIDI Controller Generator module, either by adding a separate Pitch Bend Generator module.
