Ahaha (also my wife said that I've lost GAS completely this year.)

I have DIY filter kit from them. But have no time to assemble yet.

Urs, btw have you noticed that PV filter have no capacitors in it?
Murderous duck!

Yes I know. The capacitors are inside the OpAmps (whatever they are). They're meant to be used for some sort of slew rate limiting and abused for filtering.

1. Since all soviet electroics is cloned кр140уд8 series is clone of µA740HC, µA740PC
http://www.volt.ac/A740HC.html <-- but i see only one 50 pF capacitor on block diagram
2. They are still produced and sold in russia WOW

Hi Urs!

I just want to say that this is quite possibly by far the best approximation that imitates analogue circuit behavior (on the filter level) with all its quirks, that i have heard!

Repro 1 is brilliant sounding, looking forward to buy the finished version, please would you consider giving it a couple of modes i am really liking 3 and 5, mind you, i am one of those that the enjoys the scope (less smooth design) of the original, but a more polite filter response has its purpose of course.

We synth heads are quite lucky to have you you know :) in this more of the same day and age!

A question though, I saw that you are developing a drum synth, is that going to be an official product or is it just for fun? please would you mind elaborate a little on that.

Hi, I've bumped into possible bug in RePro-1. Under certain circumstances, VCA source get stuck in Envelope mode. I can toggle switch back to Gate, but source is still Envelope. I've saved preset and checked, AmpMod is set to 0 but source is still envelope when I load preset. This happened also when I saved song (in Reaper), 4 instances of RePro, all in Gate mode, but when I reopened song on two instances VCA mod source was obviously Env (front panel was showing Gate source on all 4).
I could send example preset file that's causing problem on my machine, or paste it in comment (forum doesn't allow me to upload .h2p file)

I can't say if it sounds analog or not, but it does sound good (except for filter 2, which sounds rather artificial, and –to a much lesser extent– 5 for sounding too bassy). I still have to make up my mind which one sounds better, but it's a nice little plugin and good idea.

Super interesting thing to play with! I've made them all sound great and terrible! haha...

I agree with what has been said before. 2 and 5 can sound the cleanest. 4 is the dirtiest, followed by 3 and 1 is a different beast all together. The throw of each pot is different of course, and this makes just zapping through them all more difficult. Though with res on 6 what is happening on filter 1 cutoff between 6-8?! hehe. I wanna play with these for ages.

What I've learnt is all synths need to include minimum 5 filters in everything from now on!

When I open Repro in Bitwig 1.3.9 I hear a steady clicking sound. It disappears when I start to program a patch, but I wondered if anyone else is experiencing this "problem".

Filter 1 is my favorite so far, btw. :)

Best,

Too bad it's such a CPU hog :( I love the synth (even) in it's current state (without a VCA env and modulation) and I'm already using it in one of my productions :D

No wonder it's a CPU hog - although only one filter is audible at a time, all 5 are running in parallel. The final product won't be like that.

Yes, yes. I know that. But it hurts its usability in the current state a bit...

Can you explain why the filters 3 and 4 (when enabled) are drawing a bit more from the cpu? It is not just randomized change. I have this in all my daws (fls, ableton, reaper, sonar) and with all instances. :?:

Interesting. I'll ask the guys...

Asked :-)
Permanently running all 5 filters at once would have pushed the CPU a bit too hard, so the filter models were split into two groups (3 in one, 2 in the other) instead. The CPU hit still isn't an indicator of code complexity.
