Never thought, I'd pay for a GUI, much less $25! Yup, its on my list for the net few weeks!

I just want to say a public "thanks" for the way you've supported this project, all the way from Plugmon last year to Massive Modular this year, all updates free... very impressive work... it's totally made Zebra easier and more user-friendly, at least with my workflow... definitely a must-buy in my books!!!

But you also get 2 sound sets included..... and it feels like you already own Zebra 3!NNevez wrote:Wow, i was not aware of this GUI but it looks stunning!!
The price is steep for a GUI but i am considering it since it looks fantastic.
I never payed for a GUI but i´m happy i did here.
Really awesome work. For me GUI of the year already

Anybody checked out RAM usage with these skins vs the default skin vs Zebra Redux?

Not really but what i can say is that it needs more time to load a plug-in for me....but i can live with a few seconds more i think.EvilDragon wrote:Anybody checked out RAM usage with these skins vs the default skin vs Zebra Redux?

Yeah, and i thank you for the reminiscence.plugmon wrote:This blue smear is the symbol for Some Oberheim synth. I just want to make some synth-maniacs grin and make them feel they're using real ones![]()
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

I don't know exactly how RAM and GUI work together so please forgive me if my question is somewhat odd: The size of the Massive Modular theme folder is around 17mb, The Unempty Dark Zebra is around 2mb - so would this mean that the increase in RAM could only be 15mb at max per instance?EvilDragon wrote:Anybody checked out RAM usage with these skins vs the default skin vs Zebra Redux?

Try this.
1. Open your DAW, see the OS resource monitor and measure how much RAM the DAW's process is taking.
2. Open Zebra on a track, measure how much RAM is taken now. If this is with the Massive Modular skin, then go to Prefs panel and change the skin to default (not Unempty!).
3. Close DAW, reopen it, then load Zebra again and measure how much RAM is taken with the default skin.
It might not be a huge difference because I think u-he loads GUI assets on the fly, the RAM usage increases as you start tweaking controls - you can also verify this in the resource monitor of your OS.

Thanks, that's good info!
Now try tweaking different types of knobs and see the RAM usage increase. Until you close the plugin GUI then reopen it again, then you're back to square one (I actually like this behaviour of u-he plugins).

Increased the ram by another 100 by tweaking, closed re-opened dropped 35 from that additional 100 on Massive Modular
No more ram added by tweaking when tested with Redux & original skins
