a) complicated
b) half of that is not possible (I know the IKM system all too well at this point)
c) I am not(!!!) going the Gear Credits Route - because: prohibited of resale - still not supporting "Gear Credits" - sorry.
Also - my Q was not answered either if this would even come close to Reason's SCREAM 4
UPDATE: T-RackS Saturator X is released

I am thoroughly confused....
I log directly into the Custom Shop desktop app. It deals only in 'Credits' - I have 20.
I log into the IKM website account/store. It deals only in 'Jam Points' - I have 33 Euro worth.
Where/how can I combine these? What a strange system.

Thanks
Custom Shop is opening to a blank black screen now anyway - even with a full computer restart. So I guess it ate itself, ohwell.
Peter: Can you install a newer version of Custom Shop straight over the top of the existing one, or do I need to do a full uninstall first?

Peter - IK Multimedia wrote:Your logic is sound except that you can apply 15 JamPoints (30%) which looks like a typo since your math is correct in the end
Yes indeed, I meant 30%clintmartin wrote:You can only use jam points for 30% of total price.
Thanks Peter for confirming that my logic is sound. This is on my radar now that I know I can afford it!
a) It is, but in fairness the system allows me to buy a €96 plugin for €42 thanks to loyalty points and free creditsCompyfox wrote: All good and fine, but:

b) Which half, as Peter has confirmed it is possible?
c) I've never sold a plugin so this doesn't bother me, but I do understand why this is frustrating for some people.

Got 5 credits...went to purchase another 75...93.74€...no way!
For EU residents IK shop is totally unacceptable...even with Jampoints it's too much...
I have plenty of Jampoints...looks like I'll never use them...would be nice if we could convert them to Gear credits please!

First off, I see 75 credits as selling for €89.99 with VAT.Selfik wrote:Got 5 credits...went to purchase another 75...93.74€...no way!

The whole VAT thing on online sales for EU residents is a pain in the arse for sure but it's not IK's fault. If I buy something from Hornet Plugins, I'm paying VAT. Same for most other plugins I buy.
If you walked in to a store and bought boxed software (as we used to do many years ago!) you would pay the VAT on it without batting an eyelid.
If I can, I buy as much as I can from the resellers in the US who don't charge VAT. Of course, if that's an IK product, I don't get to use my jampoints. However, the 30% off in jampoints is almost negated by the 20% VAT so it kind of evens out. Of course, you can't buy credits from resellers (...yet?).
As for converting jampoints to gear credits, that would be nice. It's times like these when I wish IK had kept the old "use jampoints up to 50%" rule but in those days, you couldn't use them on sale items so its horses for courses.

Well, seeing as it is, at the end of the day, a distortion plugin..lotus2035 wrote:This thing distorts pretty quick doesn't it?

Iron selected, limiter on, oversampling on x4, input and output on full.

That "eye" reminds me a lot of what is on the Shadow Hills compressor. This even has an Iron and a Steel transformer circuit, but alas, no Nickel. At least you get a wealth of other choices too.Bobby L'Avenir wrote:has this got the same algo as the 73 & 81 eq?Peter - IK Multimedia wrote:UPDATE - T-RackS Saturator X has been released. It has nothing to do with "A Clockwork Orange" or 90125, those were the first two things that came to mind for some...
Sounds very nice. Might just be using those Jam Points after all!!

Keep in mind that the metering is obviously not peak metering. This means that even if you are not "in the red" it may still audibly distort on loud transients.lotus2035 wrote:This thing distorts pretty quick doesn't it?

The meter is definitely a VU, not only from the looks of the "Label" (read: the scale - from -40 to +6, which is the first indication for that).
