Hi Howard.
Any estimated timetable for the completion of that separate synth? ..or you have no deadline maybe?
RePro sounds like a dream come true so I already expect that synth to be spectacular

Earlier in the thread Urs said he didn't feel it would work in the context of Diva. I still think the filter should at least find it's way in. I'd really love it in Zebra.david.beholder wrote:But what about Diva Module?Howard wrote:separate synth

I'm honestly surprised. It already has a very vintage similar-ish sound to all of the Diva Modules, that it sounds like a natural fit. But I guess they know what they're doing ^^.zerocrossing wrote:Earlier in the thread Urs said he didn't feel it would work in the context of Diva. Diva is polyphonic, but RePro will be a monophonic synth. Different pair of shoes.

The filter could work as a Diva module, but I believe Urs said the Pro One's modulation system wouldn't fit into the Diva paradigm. So it could be possible that something from this development ends up in Diva, but at no point will Diva be a Pro-One.david.beholder wrote:But what about Diva Module?Howard wrote:separate synth

Right, that's exactly what I recall Urs said too. May be Howard and Urs are out of sync?Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote:The filter could work as a Diva module, but I believe Urs said the Pro One's modulation system wouldn't fit into the Diva paradigm. I'd rather be surprised not to see it in Diva because I prefer things to be concentrated in one. I think it would make perfect addition to existing Diva modules / willing to pay for Diva upgrades / prefer one plugin to many / etc etc

Based on the current set of models I think we'll be able to build the Synthex filter for Diva. Same filter chip as the Pro-One, but different circuitry around it.
For Diva however we don't want to add too much complexity, i.e. no selection of different calibrations, no crazy modulation depths, no multi i/o. This is why we want to do Repro-1 as a separate product, so we can do all of these things without compromising Diva's concept. And of course, we see a market for a classy emulations of a mono synth.
