Btw. Falcon can not export any wavetable. Or I dont see any option to do it.
Falcon just has a wavetable player, it does not have a WT editor.

I like the sound of the wavetable synth in Icarus much more than in Falcon. But Serum is better, i like Nave even more and Dune 2 is still king for me (even with the lack of a wavetable editor).
As usual it´s a matter of taste and need.
Icarus seems to be a really nice synth but i didn´t find anything what would set it apart.
Seems the public beta doesn´t work anymore or expired :?:
Whatever, i wish Tone2 good luck with it and i think a lot people will like it.

Is Dune 2 even a wavetable synth??

Its has WT osc, so its one part of it, along with FM, VA etc...

The more I play with it, the more i love it. Oscillator morph it super fun :tu: Love these FM modes, they may go absolutely crazy but still sound good.

No way to control unison stereo spread? Or is it hidden somewhere?
You may think you can fly ... but you better not try

The download link or the plugin? Have not tested it today but the plugin must be reloaded because the demo time is limited.

IMO Serum is the reference for a Wavetable synth.

One could make one with the lua scripting tool :ud:

I tried Serum and didn't do it for me. Honestly, I was wondering what all the fuss was about?

I can´t open Icarus anymore...it link me direct to the Icarus web site.

Not for me. Like i said it´s a matter of flavour and so. I don´t like the sound of Serum in general.
I agree that it´s great to create wavetables but i also like the Nave editor more (and it´s 3D :hihi: ).
I know many will disagree and i said it more than one time but i still found no synth where i get such smooth interpolations between the waves like in Dune 2. Even wavetables with just 2 waveforms and slow modulation added to morph between them sounds great while i always get a kind of microstepping with other synths (yes...beside Zebra 2 maybe) in this case.
But maybe it´s just me and i like the flavour of Dune 2 more. I mean i even sold it a while ago and now regret it really because no synth can replace it for me.
A ton of features and options are not always the best thing if you don´t like the sound you get.
But it would be boring if we all agree and would like the same things and tools.
All these synths are good and offer something unique.
Icarus offers just not enough for a buy for me.
But in general i stopped buying new synths because no new synth has enough new things to be a must buy anymore. They all can create a different timbre but the market is so saturated that i find it a bit waste of money. But then every customer is unique too :D

Dynamic microtuning to enhance chords
Sounds interesting, what does it mean?

Indeed...maybe something like hermode tuning?

I really don't get what you mean with that "microstepping" thing. In Largo e.g., the interpolation between waves in a wavetable is absolutely smooth, i don't hear any microstepping. If you want, you can post some sound example of that phenomene, maybe it becomes more clear then. I don't really see why any synth would microstep, because i don't think that waveform morphing is really THAT difficult to implement.

Hardly a fair comparison to Falcon. The wavetable oscillator in Falcon is like finger nails on a chalkboard. It is truly terrible sounding. This is coming from an owner and lover of falcon.

Not spotted that. Only the various fixed stereo unison options.

I really enjoy the "harsh" sound of Falcon's WT module. Awesome stuff :tu: . I guess it is mainly subjective. So is the love for this Icarus synth.
