It just so happens that I have Live 9 and about half of the Factory Packs on this new laptop, installed last week, and I was about to install the remaining content anyway, so I was on a position to check out this claim, ie its a completely virgin Live9 install on a brand new computer.

To be clear, I have the Live 9 Suite, and a few other Ableton-sold Max4Live Packs, and what Ive installed is all the Ableton content that they provide as an owner of that suite, with the exception of the Orchestral Sounds and the Multi-Mic drums, and I really doubt single-hit 'EDM' drum sounds are likely to be in either of them.
Oh, and also the Live 8 Legacy Library for Live 9.

Anyways, its 25Gb of Ableton-provided content (although of course not all of it is by Ableton.)

There are only 3 files unde 'Samples' with 'EDM' in the title. None are .ogg files and two have bpms in the title so they are clearly loop.

In fact there are only two .ogg files in the entire Samples folder, one called I.ogg and the other called PAHorn.ogg. You'll notice the screengrab above that runaudio posted as 'proof' shows at least one other .ogg files, called Dumbek.ogg. That's not been installed on my system either and neither have is one of the non-ogg files in his screengrab eg DXSTRATO.WAV.

To be sure, I also installed MuLab, confirmed the EDM*.ogg files were there and then did a search of my entire system for all .ogg files. Im glad this has an SSD, but surprise surprise, those EDM*.ogg files only exist under the MULab folder and nowhere else.

So the OP's claim is blatantly incorrect.

Thing is, though, its quite easy in Live to determine where a file actually is on one's hard drive (ie Click on the sample, select 'Show In Places'), so the fact that the OP didnt actually show us these files living in a known Ableton Live Pack folder in is a bit suspicious. At best it smacks of a lack of due diligence, as does any evidence proving that these files are the same as the Mulab ones.

There's more due diligence that should have been done though. The filestamps on the MuLab samples all date to 2011/2012, and that's probably about how long they've been shipped with MuLab. Live 9 on the other hand had its factory library redone entirely (hence that Legancy Live 8 Pack I mentioned earlier) so I'd be really surprised if any of its sample content was actually that old. But the OP didnt even provide a comparison of datestamps, or filesize, let alone the samples themselves. Suspicious, again.

So first things first... these sampes arent in any of the Ableton Factory Packs.

(edit cos dumbass me didnt check the obvious).

Dropping the samples from the MuLab folder into one's own Ableton>User LIbrary folder will however result in those files showing up as per the screengrab.
So I suspect the OP has either (deliberately?) placed those files there, or has (deliberately?) pointed the User Library folder at a directory 'above' his Mulab installation.

An idiot on Set Theory:

Check the location as I (and WR) suggested - that will clear this up once and for all.

Just like the green cross code man said...
Think before you post, I mean er, cross! Well you get the point, don't accuse people without proof.

Jo''s pretty hot on copyright so you're accusation was unlikely.

Both are acceptable spellings.
So to be clear, it's spelt 'Spelled' not 'Spelt'.
and to clarify it's spelled "spelt" not "spelled"
