Well, perhaps Vojtech could use some of his excellent machine learning code used in MTurboComp, to generate som nice presets for MDynamicEq

Personally I don't have time sitting three hours and matching an eq.
Vojtech said it's not that complicated, hope also not that time consuming?!
Spencerlee nice to hear and to see your "skills", but you don't wanna share your work, so some people rely on Vojtech gorgeous know how.
My point of view.
I thought the "mixing revolution "would make the classical equing obsolete, but that doesn't seem so. So it would be great if Vojtech would do something like mturboeq inside mautodynamiceq.

I think it is all pretty static. And sure, phase and distortion are a part of it, not necessarily awesome part of it really thoughZentralmassivSound wrote:I don't know much about it, but if you read threads about EQs it seems to be all about "colouring" through specific distortion and phase shift behavior. And I guess that it's not static but dynamic, dependent on frequency and level? So it might not be possible just using MAutoDynamicEQ?

Hi
Its not that I don't want to share my work, things like extra Multiparameters would have to be added to MDynamicEq for me to be able to add my presets. I am sure Vojtech would do this but everything cannot happen at once.

OK, i'm out.... Original message here:
MTurboComp is the ultimate (not-only) compressor, which emulates most of the classic vintage analogue compressors. Unbelievable sound, uniquely fast workflow, tons of additional features. And you can design your own super-compressors with it!
...End of Original Messsage...
I CAN'T STAND THIS ANYMORE! I'm sick of all this devs suggesting me that THIS is THE ULTIMATE COMPRESSOR/REVERB/DISTORTION/TRANSIENT DESIGNER/MAKE MY F**KINGSONGSOUNDSBETTERIFYOUUSEMYPLUGIN and YOU CAN BUY THIS S**T FOR ONLY 99 Bucks WITH A HUGE BARGAIN... Block or ban me if you want...

If we walked every time we saw marketing hype in the audio plugin world there wouldn't much uptake. Regardless vote with your feet. I'd try the demo first to see if it had application.

Errr, yeah, it's called marketing. Yes, it's a bit ridiculous, but it's your job as a savvy consumer to sort between the fluff and the actual good stuff. There's always been snake oil and there always will be, why get so stressed about it?
As for TurboEQ... not for me personally. I'd way rather Vojtech spend his precious time on making unique and interesting tools rather than yet another EQ... there's already, what, SEVEN melda EQ's and the poor guy only has so much bandwidth, plus there's countless vintage emulations out there. They COULD go in that direction, but what a waste that would be when the current direction has created such interesting tools as Transformer, Spectral Dynamics and MXXX.
But I'm probably just grouchy as I've spent the last 12 hours on a plane

Maybe you're right, but why are most eq Emus such CPU hogs, bad programming? The newest PSP e27 is sounding really nice, but ~3% CPU usage per instance is uncool. Melda stuff don't need that much, mostly under 1% per instance.
The 8 melda eqs are very similar to each other, the only one you really need are mautodynamiceq and mlinearphaseeq. The other ones are smaller versions of these. Freeform is maybe funny to use, but do you really use it? And mcharacter is a different approach, no classical eq.

Hey svama
I am working on a new EQ preset that may cure all your problems. Check the picture and ask me anything.

Yes and no. I understand your point, and I agree somewhat. But before, I was totally uninterested in those millions of hyped Compressor models and simulations. Never bought one. Really too expensive for what they do. But then came MTurboComp and I have come to love it and to appreciate all the different models a looooot. In fact MTurboComp is already my go to compressor.vectorwarrior wrote:As for TurboEQ... not for me personally. So I imagine that MTurboEQ could do the same, it could make me friends with all the hyped EQ models out there (which before I never had any interest in) and even without me shedding a thousand dollar for it. And I'm quite sure I will come to highly appreciate them as well
So, in terms of bang for the buck, MTurboComp is without competition, and MTurboEQ would be likewise.

I already sold my U-he Presswerk after the release of mturbocomp and other could follow. I think a mturboeq of the same quality like mturbocomp and I will sell most of my eqs too.

Hmmm, looks like we need MTurboEQ
