That doesn't happen so much now though
Lets see exactly how many of us want certain features...

I want it not to hang around in the process list for 5 minutes whenever it crashes cos I've made an arse of me vst programming.
Can't reload it till that process dies!

Hi KLF...I had the same problem, but not since the last two Tracktion updates. For £50 Tracktion is very stable and seems to have none of the stability issues I have had with other applications.Karbon L. Forms wrote: Can't reload it till that process dies!

I always try and shut down as many applications that I do not need before booting up Tracktion.

Christian dude. That's kinda difficult when your developing! Full VNC networking to the Mac, Visual Studio (attached to process for debuggery) , web browsers, Delphi (which annoyingly shuts T down after detaching from process!) , text editors, email prog, messenger, firewall, virus checker etc etc. It works surprisingly well with all that. If I'm doing music (wossat?) I've got a seperate boot with bugger all else happening. I'm referring to the edit-compile-test cycle. Give T a duff pointer and it goes POOF! And I have to wait 5mins before I can restart it.
It's never crashed of it's own accord for me.

Not on your poll list, but seems to be popular in the forums:
Better audible rendering of time-stretched loops; ala ACID.
This is the one feature missing that is causing me not to register my demo copy of Tracktion.

You have some serious stuff going on there!
Hi Scott...yes that would have been popular but I had to try and guess what 6 or 7 areas would cover almost every aspect of developemnt in T2 for the poll so maybe time stretching would be under Audio editing and recording.rockstar_not:

I'm really fallen in love for Tracktion for 4 weeks, and i think i will buy T2... But I think the soft needs some main features to be nearly perfect :
- A better way to modify the MIDI velocities
- A Drum Edit (it's hard to create drums tracks with the piano roll)
- A MIDI Synchro with external machines
- Import/Export of MP3 files
After, some things not so important i think, but that should be great !
- A special window for mixing
- Some skins for the graphics ?
But i think it's sure, i will buy Tracktion 2 !

I think some sort of drum editor or step sequencer that is an extension of the the piano roll would be good.Wolfen666 wrote:- A Drum Edit (it's hard to create drums tracks with the piano roll)

Hi
Piano-Roll every time-with every host!
This is the most important working space for many users and one of an increasingly few reasons I still use Logic on my PC - I was a little dissapointed with tracktions roll - I really think this one page deserves a Tab that takes you to a full screen Piano-Roll page in EVERY host!
flipper.

And I forgotten a thing very very important ! The Tempo/Signature is fixed and can't be modified during the track... I think the most of kinds of music contains some tempo variations. It's a priority feature

Not sure if you're joking with that wink, but you can indeed modify tempo and time signature at any point in T.Wolfen666 wrote:And I forgotten a thing very very important ! What I mean is to have the 3 first measures in 120 and 4/4, the 3 next in 160 and 3/4, after in 140 in 9/8 until the end...
I have only found a global function, and i don't how to do for getting only some parts with a changement of tempo... but maybe it's because i have not found how to do it, the "wink" was not a joke...
Must I buy some glasses ?

Yes, this can definitely be done.
Put the cursor where you want the change, click up where the tempo/meter is, then down on the bottom click on "insert tempo change at cursor" (meter can also be changed). Rinse and repeat as necessary.

I can't remember what my vote was, but what I really want to see in T2 is better loop recording. Ideally it would work like in Cubase v5 (the lanes thing).

Wolfen666, I agree to most points that you have made, although, to clarity things regarding export and import of MP3 files.. in the registered version, you can already export to an MP3 file, (I'm not sure about importing MP3's as I am currently trialing the Demo version as well.Wolfen666 wrote:I'm really fallen in love for Tracktion for 4 weeks, and i think i will buy T2... I thought that having real time transform of any MIDI event to another MIDI event could be good. I found it handy on both Cubase and Notator on the Atari ST.
