I'm mostly curious if I'll get to use the plugins I purchased for another platform. I bought Win/SAWStudio versions, and now I'm Mac VST.

Ok here's the result of scanning the new Anwida 64 bit Template sent today. I just realized the older version that FL Studio was seeing was the 32 bit version. It was not seeing the 64 bit version. So I'm going to delete everything from Anwida and start fresh. ( and yes before anyone asks I did "Rescan Plugins with Errors" in FL Studio). Manually forcing it to "Effect" did not work either.

I was paying attention - here is what you wrote:Teksonik wrote:Oh stop. I've been using Reaper for years. You're not paying attention to what I've been saying. I know you're just trying to "help" but seriously I don't need your help. So please just stop.jens wrote:*ouch* - a full rescan? Not the right method at all in this case...
Anyway Anwida just sent me a new .dll and I'll test it right now.......
What the "clear cache" does, is to simply delete ALL the entries in the .ini I mentioned - in other words: it does not only remove the information about the plugin in question (as the method I explained to you does) but also those about all other plugins (that sit in folders Reaper is aware of) - yes, the lot of them - it is exactlythe same as if you would open the .ini, hit crtl+a andthe delete, Close the .ini and safe and then do a rescan after that.Teksonik wrote:
I did a "Clear Cache/Re-Scan" twice.
Yes, let me reiterate that for you: it unnecessarily removes all your (o the issue at hand completely unrelated) plugins within Reaper and then Reaper has to rescan them ALL, which might easily take 20 minutes or more, depending on how many plugins you have and how many crashes require a restart of Reaper.
And if you use Reaper for so long already, then I think you really really should know all this - even though it is painfully obvious that you don't.
In fact you really seem surprisingly clueless for having been using Reaper "for years". Why don't you read up a bit on its basics - using Reaper could become a lot more enjoyable for you. If you barely knwo how to use your tools, life can be really hard. I know some people hate reading manuals and such and rather like to believe they already knew everything, but basically they are only being in their own way.
Oh, and yes, you are right indeed - I really only try to help.

Did you miss the part where i have over 200 plugins installed in Reaper on my studio system ? I believe it was 276 at last count. I know how to add plugins in Reaper. End...of...Story....
I've never had a crash on any system while doing a Re-Scan with Reaper. The fact that you think there should be crashes says a lot about your level of expertise in Reaper....or lack thereof
The computer I'm on now is not my studio computer. I use it mainly for internet/e-mail but do use it for some beta testing of plugins. None of the plugins I've beta tested on this system have ever failed to show in either Reaper or FL Studio.
There is something buggy about the 64 bit version of this reverb plugin. Simple as that. It is new so some glitches are to be expected.
As for reading, try reading all the posts here before posting pompous nonsense.
Anyway ignoring the annoying twonk........I've already spent more time on this plugin and the new Template.dll than this reverb is worth. I have plenty of other verbs that sound better. Even if the comp and limiter I have licenses for get ported successfully to 64 bit I won't use them on my studio computer because I already have dozens of alternatives.
Here's the latest result and my final test of the template .dll. I wish Anwida success in updating their plugins to 64 bit.

Clueless because some wonky new 64 bit version of a plugin won't read in Reaper or FL Studio on this system ? Reaper works perfectly for me and has for years and has been quite enjoyable. So enjoyable I don't even see the need to update from 4.78 to 5. I don't need a simple newbie like you telling me how to use Reaper.....got it ?jens wrote:In fact you really seem surprisingly clueless for having been using Reaper "for years". jens wrote:Did you try to delete it from Reaper's (64bit). VST .ini and then rescanI woulg guess that this would do the trick...
See what you did there ? Yes Clear Cache deletes all the entries....as one would expect it to do and exactly what I wanted to do. It took all of 30 seconds.jens wrote: What the "clear cache" does, is to simply delete ALL the entries in the .ini I mentioned

3o seconds to scan (i.e. load and unload) 276 plugins? Now that's impressive!

Dude seriously can you not read ? On my Studio Computer I have 276 plugins. On this system which I have already told you I'm using for the internet I only have a handful. Hence the 30 seconds and why I did the Clear and Rescan which accomplished the same task as manually deleting the Anwida entry and posed no risk.jens wrote:Teksonik wrote:Yes Clear Cache deletes all the entries....as one would expect it to do and exactly what I wanted to do. I overlooked that indeed - which then of course leaves us with the question why on earth - when having some problems - you even just mention a computer which is not at all the machine you are having problems with.
This keeps getting progressively bizarre...

Your inability to comprehend is indeed bizarre. I mentioned the number of plugins that I have installed on my studio computer as evidence that I have lots of experience adding new plugins in Reaper. I don't remember any of those 276 plugs ever failing to show in Reaper after a simple startup scan. In other words the problems with this reverb plugin not being seen has nothing to do with my ability to add plugins to either Reaper or FL Studio and is due to either a buggy plugin or wonky installer this system simply does not like. Emphasis on this system because I simply have not tested it elsewhere. Granted my studio computer is running Win 7 and this computer is running Win 10 but none of the other thirteen plugins I currently have on this system including one beta, one demo, eight freeware and three commercial plugins from several different developers have ever failed to be seen by either Reaper or FL Studio.jens wrote:I overlooked that indeed - which then of course leaves us with the question why on earth - when having some problems - you even just mention a computer which is not at all the machine you are having problems with.

As an example I just dropped the Sanford Reverb.dll in my VST 64 folder and both Reaper and FL Studio found it immediately. The Anwida reverb 64 bit in that same folder is simply not seen. The great advantage of having a separate computer to install demos or new releases on is that you can test them and only install the ones you like (or the ones that work) on your studio computer keeping it safe from wonky ware. This reverb is a perfect example. There is no way I would install it on my studio computer although I am grateful to Anwida for their generosity.
Anyway I'm done with the Anwida Reverb and have uninstalled it and deleted the reg entry that it left behind and I'm also done trying to explain things to you as well.

Yrs, we see how mightily experienced you are with all things computer...Teksonik wrote: I mentioned the number of plugins that I have installed on my studio computer as evidence that I have lots of experience adding new plugins in Reaper.
Yes, that makes so much sense - because if it works on one machine, it must work on every other machine just the same. There's no chance your "internet machine" could be buggy as hell. That 276 plugins work flawlessly on your other computer is sufficient proof against that, right?
I don't remember any of those 276 plugs ever failing to show in Reaper after a simple startup scan.
It's quite interesting how a bitter old misantrophe like you can be so infantile as well...
