All I know is that when i tried the demo of wusik it was terrible with crashes galore. then I see it going on sale constantly and now for free? I smell something fishy. Is a free synth that doesn't work even worth it?

I understand the Group Buy perfectly. I got WS8 long ago from one of the numerous previous GB's. I've been around Wusik since it was Dash Synthesis as a beta tester for DaAlpha 2k and I've had Wusikstation since version 1. I've had to watch William feed the trolls over and over again year after year. I like William as he's a nice guy but watching him make these painfully poor business decisions time after time has been equally painful.Numanoid wrote: You have understood the group buy wrong. The future products are the main ingredient in the group buy, WS8 has been out for quite some time, and is a bonus in that group buy, not the main item.
It was released more than 13 months ago:

Did you ask all 72 people who already paid for this latest Group Buy if they joined to get WS8 or joined for the hope that this latest round of "future products" will be finished sometime in the future ?
I invite you to do a little research on the history of Wusik before forming a knee jerk opinion on the subject.

My opinion is formed on Facts. You should try using them the next time you form an opinion instead of relying on blind emotions....Numanoid wrote: Get over yourselfLike you did any market research yourself before you formed your opinion.
Fact. WS8 is offered for sale in the latest GB. Fact. It is now offered for free...for a few days at FB. Fact: That's a horrible business move.
Like I said go back and research the history of Wusik. You obviously have the free time.....

Many thanks to WilliamK for the free Wusik Station and i alraedy received my free copy. I am new to Wusik Station (while i owned and/or used lots of other synths) and was recently close to check the demo while now i could use the free full version instead. Very cool indeed.
I was a Korg Wavestation EX user since around 2004 and also got the plugin since around 2006 and always was a fan of both teh vector synthesis and wave sequencing there.
A whie ago i had also sampled teh Prophet VS waveforms in my Wavestation EX and also created wavetable for multiple synths from it.
I also tested loading the waveforms into Wusik Station V8 and this seems to work.
Anyway even after wachting some tutorial videos at YouTube i got no clue how the wave sequecning in Wusik Station is actually related to that in the Wavestation. I want to morph/crossfade between multiple samples/waveforms but so far i do not really have a clue how to do that.
In the Waveststion you got a list where you could select the samples/waveforms and parameters like duration, volume, crossfading amount and tuning for each wave in the sequence. In the Wusik Station wave sequencing module so far i do not really see how the WAVE and SEQ pages are related to each other. While i am able to load different waveforms to different "Zones" i still do not kn ow how to get proper morphing between those.
In the Wavestation plugin craeating a wave sequence with morphing/crossfaded waveforms/samples is actually quite simple. In the vector synthesis (usually with 4 oscillators) a wave sequence works similar to a single waveform/sample and is used as one of teh 4 sources for crossfading with the vector stick.

I'm sorry where do you see that Wusik Station is the "Bonus" ? The fact that it's listed first ? Hmmm that would make it seem like a main attraction since it already exists. The other two don't even have screenshots yet.Numanoid wrote:I didn't miss anything, ZeroSeq and Rezo Synth are the main ingredients, WS8 is the bonusTeksonik wrote:Did you miss this part quoted from today AT THE WUSIK WEBSITE ?

You seem to have a lot of free time on your hands, so I suggest speding that on learning the basics like the alphabet

Anyway here's a link to some WS patches that show how to use the WaveSequencers. They require the Famous Keys Soundsets which I assume were included in the free version.

So when AIR Sell Xpand2! for €1 how is that a good business move? A lot of users have paid good money for that stuff before, and suddenly Air is giving everbody a free ride to upgrade to the latest v3 package for less than €100Teksonik wrote:Fact. Then it is all hunky dory, you even hand out free patches to celebrate it
I don't get it.

No you don't get it. That's the first thing we can agree upon.Numanoid wrote: Then it is all hunky dory, you even hand out free patches to celebrate it

What's the difference in your XPand2 analogy ? Come on think you can do it......that's right they aren't running a Group Buy at the same time charging many times more for it.....yes you can buy it in bundles but again those other products already exist
I didn't "hand out" free patches to "celebrate" anything. I linked to patches that have been in the KVR database for years since someone was inquiring about how the Wavesequencers work. Much easier to take one of those patches and deconstruct it than to explain in detail how they work. Capiche ?
Anyway I'm out.............

For examples of what you can do with the WavSeq look in the dnekm folder under Wavesequences....
If that is not present in your install, go here:
http://westgatesounds.net/free/index.html
and grab the file dnekmV8.rar and then check out the presets....
