I am almost certain EXT will be picked up by a distributor. I wonder if Mackie have seen how many Tracktion users also use EXT? A possible distribution deal for EXT via Mackie?

I would not have thought Apple would buy Emagic or Pinnacle...Steinberg... see what I mean? Now Avid (digidesign Protools)have bought M - Audio!

If the two J's ever got together to develop a Tracktion < > EXT hybrid then prices for other sequencers would drop by 75% world wide over night

Seriously though...EXT will be picked up soon, for major distribution. It's interesting to have seen the development of T and EXT over the last year.

Yeah its almost inevitable that EXT gest picked up. And when they do, I hope they dont halt development for a year to create a freggin Mac version . That shit is annoying  .

And AVID bought M-Audio?????!!!!!!! Thats news to me! They better not try to make M-Audio some proprietary Pro-Tool cards or something.

I am hoping the already superb M - Audio cards are about to get even better, but not cost too much more.

Perhaps I'm being a bit sensitive here but...

People DO have a right to choose what operating system they use, right? Should I have to defend that? Should anyone? Should you? ...and developers like Jules...they DO have a right to write software for everyone, right? It's not only ethical to do so, it's good business.

As I said, I hope I'm not just being a bit sensitive.

Perhaps you meant that developing for multiple platforms shouldn't create unnecessary delays. I agree. Important updates should be made available cross-platform. I respect Jules for his commitment to cross-platform software. I hope he continues with his older plans to port to linux as well.

It's a little difficult to not feel left out sometimes (like now when the mastering plug isn't in the mac version or when beta rack filters came out and were available for pc weeks before a mac version was released). Noone likes to wait, right?
