No there is no bug there, it is allowed to drop a rack into another rack.pljones wrote:Hm, you can drag-drop a rack into another in the front panel of a MuX when not in edit mode. Whilst that doesn't crash, I'm not sure I like it -- it results in possibly wrecking the MuX routing and there appears to be no undo. So, I'd say there's a more general bug in the rack drag-drop handling.
But it was not allowed (hence a bug) when done using the racks of the MuDrum as the MuDrum assumes a fixed architecture. That bug is fixed in the next version.

Hm. So I can use the front panel view of a MuX to change the routing of the MuX? That still doesn't seem right, somehow -- I'd expect only to be able to change the routing in the modular view. If it is meant to be allowed, then there should either be a prompt ("You will change modular routing, proceed?") or there should be undo.

This entire forum is wading through predictions, opinions, barely formed thoughts, drama, and whining. If you don't enjoy that, why are you here?

Runaudio, as you know MuLab 7.1 mainly is a big update for the Mac version, rescuing MuLab for Mac from a dead-end street situation and bringing it to an open future situation. (though fingers crossed Apple won't continue the incompatibility jitter on their OSX updates where many many devs and users are suffering from)
As i noted in some previous post about this subject, also the Windows version indirectly benefits a bit from these Mac works. Now for i wanted to spice up the M7.1 update also for Windows users i wanted to add a new synth module. But ok i'll make available an up to date MuLab 7.1.22 for Windows version but i will not yet contain that new module as that's not yet finished. M7.1.22 for Windows does already feature a handful of improvements for Windows users, as you'll see in the update message i'll post later today.
