Just want to chime in with the Repro-1 love -- it's fantastic! Completely lived up to my hopes and dreams for a Pro-One in software form. The included FX really take it to the next level, and that sequencer is SO MUCH FUN, and has been implemented in such a sleek, simple fashion. The seq page looked daunting at first, but 5 minutes with it and it was a cakewalk. The ability to nudge the pattern left/right was a simple but really useful addition.

And the presets - wow!! Probably the best preset bank I've heard for a U-He synth, no joke. They are stellar, inspiring, and a great guide to working with this synth.

rock on, U-he team!

Hi honza3d,
I am still waiting for a vst plug that can host some other synths like 3 times a Repro-1.
The plug could then spread a played 3 voice chord to three different mono synths
So I could play Repro-1 with 3 voices.
I believe Logic has such a Midi Plug. But no other DAW.
Hope that someday such a VST plug exists.

Glorious synth. Really. In all the aural things I'm critical of in a software synth (osc sync, audio rate modulation, aliasing), it is flawless.

There is a freeware polychain plug in... VST... I forget it's name. Google it. Also, there's a M4L device called Polymind that works for me quite nicely.

You have just described NI Kore 2 - sadly no longer developed but still working

No problem in Reaper using the JS Dynamic poly/mono MIDI router by Tale.

As a matter of fact, everything was fine when I first started going through presets, then some keys started going dead on some, then it seemed like they all had "bad keys"
;-)
I'm sure all the presets are fine and it's a SONAR/VST3 thing...
I've tried to reproduce this for some hours but couldn't make it happen yet.
Just some questions: Do you have the latest version of Sonar installed (Sonar also seems to require the latest VS_2015 update to make VST3 plugins function properly)? Just wanna make sure we are testing with the same version of the program.
The problem actually doesn't sound like a format-specific issue to me (something like this would most likely also happen in VST2 and other formats). I also don't think it has to do with Sonar directly (could still be the case, though).
It sounds more like a general issue, and I'd really like to find the cause for this.
Do you happen to know any other presets that exhibit this issue, or was it happening with all presets at some point?
Do you remember what you did when it started happening, did you change the settings of the presets, or used a sustain pedal, or used the arp and the latch switch, ...? Asking this because it sounds like a problem with the MIDI note management to me.
Are you using the official release version 1.0 (revision 5332), or one of the public betas?
And the most important question: Can you reproduce this, i.e. did it only happen once or can you make it happen again easily?
Thanks in advance for any additional information you can provide.
I'll see if I can reproduce this tomorrow. Latest version of SONAR (2016.11) and latest version of repro-1 from a couple of days ago.
I was just scrolling through presets in the "root" folder, and then "leads" - and after a while they pretty much all had missing notes. Then I just switched to VST2 and it's been fine.
I'll do a little work and try to troubleshoot / reproduce. I've had trouble with SONAR and a few VST3 plugs in the past - so assumed this is just one more ;-)

Thx for the info. No problem should you not find the time to test this. If you accidentally stumble across the issue again, every bit of info will of course be helpful. But I guess it's one of those bugs which might only happen once in a while (in a galaxy far, far away) and thus might be harder to reproduce.
It's also quite possible that Sonar has some general unresolved issues with the VST3 format.

Thx again, and have a nice weekend.

I think it's a case of not everyone supports all aspects of the vst3 "standard" and/or different vendors have different interpretations of the specs

I don't think it's just a sonar problem...

You can do that in FL Studio's Layer or Patcher.
