Any VST will add overhead.. there are other costs aside from ten bucks. Same with so-called freebies. Time to register an account, download it, install it, activate it. Time to learn how to use it, especially. Space on your hard drive. More stuff to backup. More stuff to move when you buy a new 'puter. Another VST for your DAW to scan every time it starts up. Another vendor sending you emails. More expansions and presets to ponder over.Aliens wrote:No brainer is an overused term, but 10 bucks, you're mental to pass it in.
All adds up. These days I think very carefully about bargains and freebies - do I really need it? Will add anything to what Ive already got? Because as the old addage says there is no such thing as a free lunch.
