Hey, if I had a dollar for every 1176 plugin on the market, I'd probably have like $25.

My serious take on that is people are probably responding in part to the UI. We've heard stories for years about API going after companies who use their trademarked knob design, even if all it does it causes the plugin developers to just change the knob design and nothing else. I used to hear the same kind of things about Roland, where you could emulate a Roland synth with no problem, but if it looked too much like the original you'd get a cease and desist.

I don't know who trademarked what, or how strenuously each trademark is protected will obviously vary from company to company, but I guess that's what's driving the call the lawyer type questions.

A preamp emulation box in the flavour of presswerk/satin would be awesome imo. Covering different flavours of coloration.
Neve, Purple Audio, API and stuff like that in one product.
JamWide - a cross-platform Ninjam client for DAWs

Are there plans to include an "FX" version of Repro-1?
Fight Apathy or don't.

The GUI may have something to do with it but Arturia also completely replicates the look of the synths, so that's not new. For me, Repro-1 belongs to a new generation of soft synths (the first one?) that soundwise effectively bridges the gap with hardware (and adds a few benefits of software/extra features). Maybe other people are feeling/hearing that too and that makes them nervous?

(Diva could not convince me soundwise until now, but if a new Diva had similar qualities it would be an instant buy for me).

Then Tal should get couple C&Ds last year.
Murderous duck!

I was surprised about that, but didn't D16 have to change UI's as a result of Roland C&D's? I know IK recently had to change knobs on their API style EQ's.

Any word on the wavefolder being released as a FX plugin?
probably should have picked up Izotope's 'Trash 2' during the recent sale? haven't compared it directly to "Jaws", but i'd imagine that it can pull off whatever that does and do a whole lot more besides.

i also bought this recently, but haven't even tried it yet:

I would love to be able to save the mod wheel position in a preset, since I often like to find a sweetspot for mod wheel before saving.
I can find a workaround in a reaper project, but just pressing save would be much less hassle.

So do I and this request looks very popular.

Noticed a bug, though not sure if it's the host (Ableton 9.7.1 64bit Windows) or the VST itself.

Just made a track using the preset HS Rotofuzz 7+9 (Under the section ' 07 Seq - Melodic ') with my host set at 44.1Khz. However when I exported/rendered the project at 88.2Khz (I tend to resample stuff in post so it gives me extra frequency headroom if I ever slow stuff by half etc.) I noticed that the arpeggiator ran at double the clock speed from when I was hearing it in real time. Sure enough when I re-rendered the project at 44.1Khz it was playing at the same (correct) speed as with what I was hearing in realtime.

So is the 'Clock Speed' somehow getting its timing from Sample Rate ? Anyone else able to reproduce this ?

Thanks for reporting, will add that to our list of things to fix.
Looks like in some hosts this can happen. Was able to reproduce it in Reaper. But it didn't happen when I tried it in Cubase.
As a workaround (until we can fix this), you could temporarily change the sample rate of the Ableton project to the desired rate and then export it. This way the arp or sequencer in Repro will run at the correct speed.

Cool will do, happy it's reproducible rather than my computer going crazy :D

This is my first project using Repro-1 for all the synth duties (the sound effects are created using Xils 4 however) including the use of the aforementioned HS Rotofuzz 7+9 patch that went crazy at 88.2khz :D It's a cheesy 80's scifi/horror film intro parody:
