I think he was refering to the layout not having changed that much.lataille wrote:
Kinda sad, he even said that much hasnt changed since V1.
and judging by how he said the pricing, it doesn't seem like theyre too happy with the upgrade price as well.

Think it was Tracktion Waveform. As far as other DAWs I have seen. Nothing else yet. Really hoping bitwig has something up their sleeve by next month.sisarii wrote:risch wrote:MusicRadar's Namm Rumors article says "we hear that at least one full DAW update could be in the offing.".
Here's to hoping this is BWS
Yeah lets hope its bws or at least ableton. This is going to be really interesting.

Just thought the same ... what a shame for a 2.0 release ... but on a huge Micrsoft touchscreen ...lataille wrote:

Maybe less Microsoft marketing and more important features ...

Wow, i feel bad for him, he seems very uncomfortable talking about the (under the hood) modular system and the new pricing model, he didn't even demonstrate the fades...lataille wrote:

Seriously, you're judging by the way a software developer responds to an interviewer with a camera as an indication to what he thinks about pricing and other things? Maybe he's just not _that_ much into public speaking...
Give him a break.

only one thing left now i am waiting for :
video flics with heavy artifacts proving that the bitwig devs are reptilians, who wanna destroy all brave 1.0 users...

I found it interesting that CDM gave a quite favourable review that highlights some important aspects that get drowned out by the noise here on KVR ATM:

Since Peter was rather critical and dismissive in his first BWS review, I was positively surprised that he "got" what 2.0 is about.
Cheers,
Tom

1st of all: Chill out, i'm not judging anyone, just saying.Excds wrote:Seriously, you're judging by the way a software developer responds to an interviewer with a camera as an indication to what he thinks about pricing and other things? Maybe he's just not _that_ much into public speaking...

2nd: I've seen Claes giving much better and confident interviews before comparing to this one.
3rd: It's a quick and non professional interview with a camera (yes, like the one you have on your phone!!!) So, It's just a camera not a gun!!!

I was just there and had a 10:30 interview with Klaus and he answered all my questions intelligently and honestly. He's not a talking head, he's not the CFO, he's one of the guys and if they're all like him and Mea and Dom, both of whom I correspond with via email, Bitwig is a nice group of folks.
For goodness sakes.

Honestly, I was kind of surprised too. CDM was pretty firmly in what I affectionately call "the Apple Reality Distortion Field" for a good long time and that affected the writing/commentary, but it has always been a good read. There's a ton of really good stuff in this upgrade. The only thing that I specifically want that hasn't been implemented is the ability to change meter in a project. Once the hubbub about pricing dies down and some more folks can get their hands on 2.0 I think things are going to be a lot more interesting on this forum.ThomasHelzle wrote:I found it interesting that CDM gave a quite favourable review that highlights some important aspects that get drowned out by the noise here on KVR ATM:
