I believe I noticed a Glide knob on HW CV Instrument device in that NAMM video , but I don't see it on the device image on the official Bitwig site, last minute additions?

I got the demo from Klaus, nice guy, and stopped by three times looking for Mea but no luck. From what I could tell, and I asked about quite a few features, what you see in the demo and the info at the site is what you get. Nothing new beyond that. Looks quite nice and the Surface Studio was more impressive than I thought it would be.

I was a bit disappointed that he looked puzzled when I mentioned onset and stretch marker improvements. The multiple time signature thing was deemed as "on the agenda".

I was sort of happy to hear that the story of the last couple of years was as I believed. PortAudio was an issue that they couldn't control, and infrastructure was the major issue. Klaus smiled when I asked if that's pretty much over. In a good way. Meaning you will probably see new features at an increased rate now that they don't have to fumigate constantly.

They are also very much aware of the fallout from the new licensing scheme.

I intimated that I was a bit happier with the rounder corners and the somewhat retro look, but Klaus referred to it as more modern. The color scheme and arrangement view background is a bit lighter. I said I liked it darker and Klaus asked me if that was a feature request. I said yes.

That's about it. Sorry nothing more revealing than that. The news you had was pretty much the news available.

Beta seems to not be quite ready. Everyone is at the show so I wouldn't expect anything for maybe a week.

That was what I was referring to in my earlier comment. In the video he seemed to struggle a bit when the interviewer was asking about new features :\

I use Bidule extensively with Bitwig! In almost every nested instrument patch I start out with a Bidule VST plugin that converts my Push's Ribbon CC and AfterTouch to whatever events needed for the sounding instrument plugin, that follows. It speeds up my workflow many times around.

Nice presentation, though must be quite stressful that noise all the time + jet lag... Claes is a charming guy :)

Has anyone seen what they've done with the Device Mapping page? This is one of my favourite features and hope there's some useful enhancements.

Take a look at the intro video on the website, at 0:15 it shows a Remote Controls Editor panel. Looks like this might be where device mappings occur?

Given the pace of the show, with how loud it is, how busy it is, and Bitwig running on only one computer that's being used for demoing, it's not really feasible to dig too deep into features when you're there. The beta should be out soon and then we'll all know what's there.

Cool - thanks!

I just wish that they give out maybe a change log or write in text in details all the other changes .

As much as I am excited about all the new stuff they implemented like the modulators I am excited equally about the other little changes that were mentioned as "and more" at the end of their demo video as these things might help dramatically everyone's workflow.

I got too bored watching the demo video for the 37261638 time, trying to figure out if there might be any of those little workflow enhancements.

I don't think we will see any beta before first week of Feb or maybe end of that first week. :x
