I just dug this up from a thread a few weeks ago. Not very useful considering it's source, but all I have seen at this point:

"Receptor CPU must to be AMD Athlon XP2800+, but this info isn't sure for the moment."

Not to be a bugger but where did this info come from? According to the manual it only has the memory listing not the CPU? Not saying its not right just wondering....

Good enough for me...just wondering ;) Didnt realize you were staff :lol: There has been alot of speculation of official specs for the units so I was overly hasty in doubt I guess.

Of course, that was a typo. It is 256MB.

Also, keep in mind that Receptor is running an optimized version of Linux. The OS in Receptor uses less RAM than Windows, so there is more RAM for plug-ins than on a PC with 256MB.

It is impossible to predict the behavior of each possible combination of plug-ins.

Receptor comes with many factory multi patches and single patches. A single patch is the configuration of one channel, a VSTi and up to 3 VST FX, plus volume, pan, etc. A multi patch is the entire configuration of Receptor, 16 channels, 2 FX buses, and the master.

The factory patches are guaranteed to work with the shipping 256MB configuration with moderate to heavy polyphony. What I mean is that if you send 128 MIDI note on messages at the same time, it will probably work, but it's not guaranteed.

Unfortunately, this is an area where it is impossible to get hard numbers like with let's say latency.
