Could someone please tell me if there is a way to use the MFO to adjust LFO destination via the front panel?
Or any other way to achieve the desired result?

Thanks

Post

you mean use an oscillator as a modulation source?

Post

Not tested it yet but used an MFO with various waveforms output to Audio to Mod converter and output that to various destinations, ie, Pitch Filter Volume, etc.

What I want is to be able to select a destination via the front panel. I know I could have several modules linked to each destination each with a front panel on/off switch. But this doesn't give easy hardware control. Like on the old Electribe and MC-909, you had a button that cycled through available parameters, like waveform, filter type, etc. This isn't possible in MuX, so the next best is to use a knob somehow to select the required destination. Is it possible?

Do you want one knob that can direct modulation to different destinations ?

Yes, sorry if I didn't explain very well! Can that be done?

Post

Yea, pretty sure that's easily sorted, can't try at the moment but I bet someone will come along and show how its done..
....taifunk....Andreas....looking at you :hyper:

Thanks bibz :tu:
Perhaps things like this should be included as modular templates for use in larger projects?

Post

In fact Taifunk did make some switch mux's a while back, I have added them here.
EDIT
I remember now its not easy and yes a proper switch module would be nice, I think also Andreas and Dakkra showed how to fade between different destinations, that was with audio but I think the principal would be the same for modulation.

Thanks I'll give it a go :-)

I made two little example, the knob example seems to work but I do not know if this is implemented correctly by me,in addition there is another example that uses the on / off buttons

I usually use audiorate and some tricks to get different destinations for the modulations,
I'm going to check out the different options and try to make a template:)

Seems that I managed to find a solution,1 input 4 output controlled by a single knob,(maybe I can add more out,I have to check)
I have to fix some things.

Good work Taifunk, Ive changed a couple of the mod connection cables positive/negative settings so that the knob position corresponds with the correct mod number.

Well done bibz1st , you are right, feel free to change the patch :tu:
I mixed up some things.
I'm a bit busy at the moment but come back to work on the patch later or tomorrow:)

No problem, we now have pads to select the correct mod outputs
Sorry runaudio, here it is...
