Just tried it quickly in Reaper and the GUI loads just fine - Win-7 x64 VST3.

As for the GUI, it's terrific. I mean no disrespect to Crimsonmerry, who also created a terrific GUI, but for me the GUI has never been an issue.

Thanks for improving an already fantastic reverb.
All this +1.

GUI is certainly chunky on a 1366x768 laptop but looks cool.

I would agree that it seems the Dry slider should be next to the others but thats a minor thing.

Thanks.

Thanks for the update. A very well sounding reverb,
and love the new gui! Cheers

Fantastic sounding, great looking FREE plugin. What's not to like?

I really like the new UI, it's like AudioThing on steroids. Very clean, easy to read, easy to use... yep, great job.
A bit fried in the higher freqs

plugin doesn't show GUI, it shows only white and one can't edit any parameters... other than that, plugin works
I opened OrilRiver in REAPER and I saw this:
REAPER(x64) and OrilRiver(x64) - GUI works.
REAPER(x32) and OrilRiver(x32) - GUI works.
REAPER(x64) and OrilRiver(x32) through bridge - GUI does not work.

This is probably because I used for development GUI other VSTGUI library, which is easier for me. Or it's bug of bridge.

Maybe if this problem is in other hosts, then I will rewrite GUI.

In this instance, I recommend using Reaper(х64) / OrilRiver(x64), Reaper(х32) / OrilRiver(x32) or use VST3 version.

- Lack of a manual (still!) that describes the "variants"
- knobs are strange and off-putting

Another +1 for Crimsonmerry's UI idea... not as futuristic, maybe a bit strongly inspired from other UI's (see PSP 2445) - but on the long run, so much easier on the eyes.

But "it's freeware" - so I'm not allowed to complain and will shut up now

I agree. Crimsonmerry's GUI reminds me of hardware and since I grew up using hardware it's very comfortable and familiar to the eye. The new GUI is a bit "video gamish" to me but that is in no way an insult just an expression of personal preference. The new GUI is of high quality and has a modern look that will no doubt appeal to many but as you say won't as easy on the eyes for long term usage.

I don't think we are "complaining" just expressing opinions. I'm sure you are as grateful as I am for this great high quality free reverb.

So thank you very much for this great Reverb, it sounds awesome. It's just if we were granting wishes I would prefer the Crimsonmerry concept GUI. Not in the least bit an insult to the new GUI or the old one for that matter and as was mentioned there was nothing really "wrong" with the original GUI. It just didn't seem to match the quality of the sound. Again not a complaint just an expression of personal opinion and preference.

TBH I really like both GUIs, to me features and being easy to use are more important. By the way, what features or changes besides the GUI has the new version?

The new UI is more along the lines of FL studio in early 2010. Where "colorful, bulging screen" buttons were still a thing. And it was never "my" thing to be honest. Just my opinion though.

And please don't let me not get started on the lack of manuals.

For a studio tool that wants to be taken seriously, that is MANDATORY IMO... but I guess people are fine with everything these days, say "let's just use your ears"... Sorry - not how this works. I want to understand a tool, I want to use it to it's full capacity - not invest hours on end (that I don't have) to find out what feature X does, and how it interacts with feature Y at specific setting Z.

This is what always annoyed me with old G-Sonique's "Pultec inspired" EQ. Up until this day, still no manual.

You get that wrong, old friend...

"You" are expressing an opinion and giving constructive feedback...
"I" am nothing but complaining and shredding yet another developer.

Only a matter of time until that is pointed out again.
Already counting the minutes...

Thanks. Interesting discovery, and really gorgeous GUI right there. But unfortunately no, for my mockup i only use Denis' original GUI as a reference, and just took small twists here and there.

And thank you to all who votes

Ok. I vote for Crimsonmerry's GUI also. :)

Thanks, love the new GUI.

What does the lock right of the preset selector do?

EDIT: Solved! It locks the Dry/Wet while scrolling thru the presets. :tu:

Chances are, even with a description of the different variations, you're going to have to listen to each, with varying material, to determine whether you like it or not.

It's a fairly simple reverb plug. I don't feel a manual is necessary. I would prefer the dev spend his time in other areas, like developing the modulation block he just added.

You can turn on the popup-help. "i" button.
Concering the variants: just choose the one which sounds best for you.

I can see no GUI at all, just plain white. The previous version was working fine. Win 8.1 (64), Cubase Pro 9 (64), VST2. Sound is processed, though.

EDIT : for some reason, the GUI is working fine as a VST3... :?
