No need for getting mischievous.. it's not my belief that when Magnus says something I have to believe it. The fact is a little different: it's you. Magnus is not my god or something FYI
Says the guy who stated:Rappo Clappo wrote:"But sure, go ahead and believe what you want."

I didn't think I was being mischievous. We're having a friendly conversation, are we not? Try not to interpret my frustration as being mischievous.Rappo Clappo wrote:Lol you are just looking for straws, little wonder.
The fact that you feel a respected dev is not a good source of information is probably the most troubling part of this conversation.Rappo Clappo wrote:it's not my belief that when Magnus says something I have to believe it. I already explained why I mentioned Symbiosis. Please re-read the posts before these , as it appears you either skipped them or their meaning is lost on you?Rappo Clappo wrote:@EnochLight
Again. What has Symbiosis to do with VST support in Reason?
Simple question.
Take your time... be my guest
Good grief, man - just... I can't even.Rappo Clappo wrote:"I already explained why I mentioned Symbiosis."
@EnochLight
But that is not the question; I said you are looking for straws. Symbiosis is only one of them, I stand corrected.
So again. What has Symbiosis to do with VST support in Reason?
Again, a very simple question. Which you try to avoid, again.. little wonder. It's obvious you are making things up which have very little to do with the implementation of VST support concerned Reason.
While it is sooo simple; Ernst said things like 'VSTs are outdated.' In 2012. And what do you know? 5 years later one of Ernst's lapdogs comes up with a statement like: "I've implemented VST support in Reason in secret, 10 years ago!" In 2007.... lol
Now if that is not suspicious, what does suspicion means in YOUR world? Feel free to express yourself.
Am I on television? I feel like someone is going to jump out behind my monitor and admit that this is all part of a practical joke.Rappo Clappo wrote:So again. What has Symbiosis to do with VST support in Reason?
If you're heavily into strawman & ad hominem arguments, then sure.Rappo Clappo wrote:My verdict is this: both Ernst and Magnus talk out of their neck about VST support in Reason. And you as well. Another case closed.
I really hope MIDI cables happen. I'd love to use midi devices to do things like Omni's stack/split modes: cross-fading across multis based on keyboard position, or adding/removing parts based on velocity amounts. I also would like to assign different velocity curves to multis differently. These are things I can do in Reaper with JS but it's not nearly as workflow-friendly as Reason's rack. If Reason got this functionality it'd be one heck of a killer real-time keyboard playing experience. I can dream.eXode wrote:Pure speculation on my behalf but I think this is pretty much what will happen. Minus the virtual MIDI cable as REs will likely use the player approach.bmrzycki wrote:What I really hope happens is reason gets a virtual midi cable to support poly note routing. then the players can be promoted to poly utilities and RE devs can start making poly note rack extensions.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned his comment about the SDK update in the post. The most interesting thing to me is his comment about sampling. I'm interested to see what the RE development community does with sampling.ezelkow1 wrote: https://www.propellerheads.se/blog/when ... -in-reason
We have not stopped. As you know, we just did a serious update of the SDK this year, allowing you to create even cooler products. Next up is a serious update to the technology for building sampled based Rack Extensions.
I totally missed that - nice! He must mean IDT (which was their solution to porting Kontakt libraries), as that's the only thing that I can think of. I wonder what it could be? I mean, now that Reason supports VST, most Kontakt devs will just sell direct (I'm looking at you Output Audio). Perhaps this is something that indie devs can capitalize on...bmrzycki wrote:I'm surprised no one has mentioned his comment about the SDK update in the post. Obviously a lot of users got strong feelings for Reason, creating a heated debate.kmonkey wrote:This thread is a shame for moderators.
