I did a show at a very prestigious venue (don't want to reveal in case ya want to narc on me
) which required half a million dollars insurance for the night. I forged it. This was long before Photoshop (30 yrs ago) and it took some doing.
And we gave free LSD at the thing. Great fuggen show, standing ovation in the end. A film was created to illustrate the story in spots, light show via slides and screens, total multi-media extravaganza.
And I sang country in front for the last number.

'Back in the day' (1997) me and a mate used to get absolutely leathered and write some utter dross electronic stuff then do some err 'performance art' gigs, basically just twatting around pissed up. Amongst other things we smashed an Atari 1040 and a shed on stage, dressed in bubble wrap, had a naked male dancer with one arm, and I was once pushed out of a venue in a wheelchair and dumped in a road. Best one though was when we played the last night of a squat in Leeds and one of the residents filled some balloons with fake blood and strapped these and some dolls to him with cling film and put a maternity dress on. He then obviously proceeded to stab himself in the middle of one of the songs and pull the dolls out. Oh, and he was wearing a crown made from Special Brew cans.
That, and appearing on a track with Rick f**king Wakeman.

I was 5 and I had a 3 minute part in the school production of Mary Poppins. My class all had to go on stage with paper bags with eye cut outs over our heads and say:
"Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious", and then then the song with "a do, a me..."
It was my first and last stage musical performance.

I live a pretty boring music life. Not much insanity to speak of. The other day we were bantering in another thread, f**k if I know which one, about music and meaning and some shit, and I made some comment about my typing being organized sound.
Well, you see, today, I was recording the sound of a fan with an SM-81, I told you my music life was boring, and I had to type some responses on KVR. Well, as it turns out, I wasn't being all that critical with the fan recording and so my obnoxious typing made it onto the recording.
I'm going to go ahead and let it stay, it definitely adds something to the record, it's like a solo, a typing solo.
The insane part, I'm actually going to put a price tag of $1 on the track. The only thing more insane than that is someone actually paying for it.

Hey ! Donkey Tugger. Your on a track with RW? What's that story!?
I'm terribly sorry I missed all the fun with you are your mates!! haaaa
I'd ask a few questions but I expect you don't remember much more.
I have a memory. I played bass in a top 40 band in my teens. The horn player's wife played keys and kept us boys musically in line on stage. We were playing a gig for 'The Knights Of Columbus' lodge at their hall one night. Everything was fine until we boys went outside during the break and someone lit a joint. When we went back on none of us knew what was going on. We all basically forgot how to play. I can still see her face panicking, hitting chords and staring at each of us as if to be sending the chords at us mentally .
Well, it didn't take too long before the audience noticed. Actually it was this one kid who noticed first and walked up to us and shouted "Hey, haven't you even played together before?!!!" A f**king little ass kid. I felt like crawling under a rock. Luckily his wife was elected to ask for the money.
