I have tested it, I love it, sounds excellent.Svama wrote:Fluffy please test it for your own, with your own material or watch the video
Try the Reel Highs or Groovy preset for instance.
But I am not even a fan of too many highs, I want to get rid of them in order to get that compact sound of the past.

Indeed, the Japanese model is the Teac.
The guy in the video should not do reviews, he doesn't seem to be qualified enough.
There are so many videos like that on YT, any moron can make such videos and manipulate public opinion...

Idk if reelbus perfectly emulate reel or not but idc because this plugin do miracles! No matter what genre I'm working with, reelbus always end up on my drum bus and/or master. I love how it beef up low end and glue stuff together.
Barricade 4 is as good as any other top notch brick if not better. Even CM version kick ass. Prices are so low for this high quality plugins that idk how to thanks Toneboosters for all this money that I could save for pizza, crisps and cola

Here is a some example of 'bright usage of Reelbus'
On/Off sample.
Both are -0.4 peak level.
some Saturation distortion is intended for RMS leveling.(That's one of the reason why i like tape saturation.)
This is an example of 'a little bit brighter and bigger sound.' I can do more brighter, but I don't like that way.
I like what reelbus does on bass drum. haha..
Note: I didn't use emphasis in this case.
Note2: Sometimes, taming high end properly gives the glueing effect.

Thank you all, will give it another try. The guy in the video is a bit crazy, but he is a good mixer, did mixes for the bigs in business like Beyoncé.
I'm also a big fan of Jeroen's work and love his plugs.

Possibly I missed something but I didn't quite get why the tape sims were being driven so hard that their VU meters stayed glued on maximum pretty much constantly.Svama wrote:
Interesting video about tape sims, Reelbus doesn't sound that good here.
Maybe Jeroen can say something about this.

If it were v4 of the reverb, why would he not call it that, like with Barricade? Maybe it is not a reverb after all...chk071 wrote:Will the V4 reverb be part of a V4 version of TB Track Essentials, or will it be a separate plugin? Will there be an upgarde path from other products?

Not sure if i can follow. The reverb is part of the Track Essentials, and the V4 reverb was announced on their Facebook.fluffy_little_something wrote:If it were v4 of the reverb, why would he not call it that, like with Barricade?
