I've got an email account for just this very reason... I thought everyone else did, too.ENV1 wrote:Dont even need to install.
This was the first thing that came up when i ran the installer:
I think we all know what this means.Thank you for installing Tube Saturator Vintage. It is a free plug-in. We ask that you register the plug-in by providing your email address. The plug-in will be bypassed until registered.

The trouble with C/R is that its Machine-ID based, which means it wont survive a OS reinstall or any other event that will cause a change to that ID. (In fact thats the whole point of it.) So if for some reason authorisation doesnt work, or is discontinued altogether, youre left with a lot of headache on top of a nonfunctional plugin.do_androids_dream wrote:Yes.. I guess that's a no no for you? I can understand that.
If it were something different, i dont know, i might have gone for it anyhow. But in this case...neh...its probably too hard on the CPU anyway...

What drama.e@rs wrote:^LOL, so much drama... It's not that you actually paid anything for it...
And what significance does paid or not paid have within the context of my decision not to use the plugin because its C/R.

It's a nice way to put an old plugin 'out to pasture' and might get them a few extra sales on version 2. Great!
Needs the oversampling that V2 has though.

And agreed, thats exactly what it should have been saying from the start.
Writing 'None' when its really C/R is just plain misleading.

It's not free - you pay for it using the currency of the internet, email accounts.e@rs wrote:^LOL, so much drama... It's not that you actually paid anything for it...
"Free" means nothing is required in return. Nothing.
