I hope all is well with Disco DSP, and really want to see OBXd continue to evolve. Any news at all would be extremely appreciated.

It's certainly disappointing to see this go down, especially since ODXd is one of my favorite soft-synths, free or not. I'm also disappointed because my OSC was featured as a demo track on the site, so there's a little bit of personal interest in this as well.

I think y'all should give up on music and become full time c++ programmers instead.

Or maybe you should continue the develpment and then call it "OB-Xhip"...aciddose wrote:I think y'all should give up on music and become full time c++ programmers instead.

Ellipsis. - to be fair a lot of the blame goes to the various libs used, although they aren't used in the best possible way either. At least the general structure of the code is bearable but the over-all project would require a massive refactor - in other words I wouldn't ten-foot pole it.

Well, i guess you gotta be easy on the guy. IIRC, he never did this before, and wasn't THAT experienced with coding either. The synth actually sounds great, especially when you consider that. And also, i think he didn't even have a model of the synth either, but worked with god knows how many sound demos and recording.
