When you guys say wavetable importing, do you really mean on-board wavetable editing/creation? Dune 2 already does import additional wavetables created by separate software tools. Drop 'em in the appropriate folder and there they are.

Dune 2 already does 75% of what's requested... like different oscillator algo's. They just are not using it, or not paying attention to it, or just don't realize it yet.

A resizeable GUI, wavetable editor and preset browser are about it for me.

A bigger GUI is just assumed. I mean we all know that's already been done for Dune3 right? I like the wave table editor. That's a natural fit for Dune. Importing samples would be awesome. I have little to no desire for a second filter really. I just don't need it in Dune. I kind of like the one filter.I'm really liking the idea of a grain fx added to the end of the audio chain though. That would completely revolutionize the instrument while not changing it.

I have no idea how you would go about importing samples in Dune. Dune is a unison engine. It just doesn't fit. Scratch it. You put a great grain filter in as an fx. Look out. There hasn't been a great grain filter since camel. People would flock to it like a herd of pin-queens.

I guess in this case importing samples means using Resynthesis of a longer WAV file to create a wavetable.

Such Resynthesis feature is already included with other Wavetable synths like e.g. Icarus, Serum, Nave, Codex, Wavemapper 2.

I have no idea how it would work but if you are grainularizing at the oscillator level I think it would work well. I don't know how these things are built and don't know if it's possible at the audio quality of Dune (which goes beyond those others you mentioned to my knowlege), but grain algorithms spread the grains around, which I have to assume is close to Dune's unison engine.

The "All" Global Filter to adjust the other position of each layers filter relatively, and not snap too, across all layers, to whatever is set. :hyper:

Exactly. Of course as we know Synapse already has ".sfz technology" in their Zampler plugin. I'm not saying .sfz support should be added to DUNE 3 but I would not be upset if it was added.

VA...WT...FM...Sfz Osc options for each layer. Sfz is the one addition that would expand DUNE 3's range of sounds the most. Again not saying it should be added or is even possible to add but if you're looking for bang for your buck with feature requests it would be hard to find something that added more.

Working with samples is like close to zero CPU load so if possible it's a good idea.

I love it. The best there is! The fastest and most intuitive modulation system. Select a mod source and apply modulation to any knob or slider on the GUI. What is difficult about that? I agree with this....but still Dune 2 synthesis sounds way better...at least for me. And of course no audio rate modulation in Alchemy or Strobe 2 (i really don´t like it at all).
The Equator synth does this at best i think.

There's really only two things I want in Dune 3, and that's a re-sizable GUI/UX along with Satyatunes' brilliant sT_Harbor Blue skin built-in, or at least supported for resizing (which I feel is a freak'n work of art and far better than the stock skin or any other 3rd party skin offered, aside from Invincible Plate Hoverland skin)..
