Here's another little Spectral ditty. 5 tracks of Spectral sprinkled with some Glitch Machines.

One of the factory demos i made with the factory presets from me, i'm still in love with Spectral, it's for me, one of the bests synth ever released... I have so much fun using this beast...

Spectral at $30, maybe I would go for it.
$50 is too much to ask for a plug that will not be updated, and can't be sold second-hand.

Sadly, I have to agree.Numanoid wrote:Spectral at $30, maybe I would go for it.

If Linplug had put all of their remaining vsts at $19.99 like they did with Alpha and Octopus, I'd have already been all over that!

Sorry, but same for me. I purchased Octopus without an hesitation, but I will not buy Spectral for $50. I wonder why they did not make the same $20 offer, I would have purchased Spectral and Morphox, and maybe Saxlab.

I am assuming your are expressing your own impressions because you phrase it like its some kind of universal truth, which it's not. Case in point, me: I didn't really know who LinPlug was but decided to explore after I found this thread. I really liked the demo of Spectral and for $50 even without future developement, its well worth it to me. I also picked up a few sound banks. Everyone has their own needs and expectations and it would be nice if people were careful to phrase these opinions within the scope of their own opnion, and not as some kind false universal truth - it makes you look like a

But of course I am expressing my own truth.plexuss wrote:I am assuming your are expressing your own impressions because you phrase it like its some kind of universal truth, which it's not.
When did I get the permission to speak universal truth. Just because 0.5% of every post at KVR is made by me, doesn't mean I am in such a position.
Anybody need to make up their own mind about it. I did, and to me it is too expensive.

I was very happy to get CrX4 for 50 bucks.
It had really passed under my radar but after demoing it, I found that it's a lot of fun if you have gigabytes of various field recordings and sample collections. Well worth the money, even if it's not going to be developed further. All IMHO, of course…

If it were easy, anybody could do it!

Wow, have to agree with plexuss on this one. I'm not here to debate anything but 50 bucks for Spectral (and CRX4) is imo a steal. I've used it alot, never had any stability issues whatsoever. Love the depth, unique character & sound, plus it comes with a simple authorization code which means easy to reinstall and fire up somewhere else if need be, change of cpu or what have you.
On top of that I bought CRX4 second hand from a member here and Linplug, despite discontinuing their vst products officially, still had that license sent to me within like a day or so.
Glad I bought both of them, consider it a bargain in both cases and intend to put them to good use.

I feel like quoting Boards of Canda at this time:
"Now that the show is over and we have jointly exercised our constitutional rights"
I am happy for those who find great use of Spectral of course
My fraction, is those on the fence, there are many synths out there, and 50 bucks is still a bit of dough to come up with.
