Waveform 8.1.14 Beta Released

maybe I misread the version on the plugins tab, I'll double check tonight, either way, its incidental to locking up the app. its whatever version is in the linux 64bit download waveform pack.

Waveform 8.1.15

Clicking on the Collective ? poofs W every time.

This happens in all edits I tried (3 of them).

Getting the triangle on each track that has MIDI telling me that there's no synth, when Collective and Biotek are indeed on the tracks.

* Update: Triangle was caused by not having an audio engine selected on the Settings tab.

For what it's worth, I updated W from 8.1.8 to 8.1.15.

Downloading Collective version 1.06 from the update popup opens Explorer to C:\Program Files\Waveform 8, and offers no option to save the download. Seems broken.

* Buggered AGAIN by this, which is that the manual download of Collective 1.06 installs into the C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VstPlugins, which I don't have as a scan path for my VSTs, thus I don't see the update. Manually copying it to my VST folders and rescanning resolves the issue. Please make the Collective install path customizable!

* Downgraded to 8.1.14 = same issue, except the Collective manual webpage opened in the Edge browser after the crash.

Sorry if I'm breaking protocol, I'm on the Waveform Dev reporting team, and downloaded version 8.1.15 from the Tracktion Dropbox folder.

Update: Updated (from Tracktion site) Waveform to 8.1.15, Collective to 1.0.9, BioTek to 1.5.9 and Essentials to 1.0.25 and the Collective crash on selecting the ? has been resolved.

As people are mentioning, the version level tracking mechanism is still broken, in that the versions displayed in the popup are not accurate.

8.1.14 still blows up when I drop collective or biotek into a track on my Linux. Guess that bug report I filed some time back never saw any movement.

What version of Collective are you using?

Huh? On my 'downloads' and 'archive' page last version of Biotek is still 1.5.5.

How's that possible?

Sorry, if this now seems harsh but:

I just installed the newest beta versions mentioned in here (biotek 1.5.9 and collective 1.0.9 and waveform is 8.1.14) and now not only collective kills the sound of the project but biotek too !!!! Test sound is there, as soon as I kill the project without save (thank god I have not saved it with this b...... in it...) it works again but with one version of biotek or collective in it, no sound....

THIS all together from Tracktion (waveform, collectiv, biotek) is ALPHA 0.1 !!!!

We are no beta but ALPHA testers in here and you charge money for this going on over month ??????

Edit: these are YOUR plugins, Biotek worked nice with T7 without problems and it worked in waveform at the beginning, what the hell you are doing ??????

I can decide to use at least biotek in OTHER daw or waveform with OTHER plugs but they just dont work together, again: whar are you doing ?

Wtf. i' ve opened the beta today, i had to enter my email again and it said something like 'your account cant be checked'. Now i am stuck, it is registered to the right email (i've checked it in about section) but it has that noise every 30 sec.

However, I have noticed a new issue. If you enter notes in the docked editor, then expand the inline track MIDI editor, the notes disappear from view in the inline track editor.

I discovered this because I also ran into something else when selecting and deleting notes in the MIDI editor. Not all notes were actually deleted. They would be deleted from the docked MIDI editor view, but sometimes a few notes would continue to play. I could then inspect the inline track editor and delete them.

zzz00m: If you could make a screen recording of the issue, that would be very helpful.

Regarding this problem, I cannot seem to reproduce it. Perhaps it was just isolated to the project I was working with at the time. I cannot recall which one that was, or if I was just working with a test project at the time.

If I see this happen again, I will try to capture it. But for now, it seems stable.

I see logfile and there are entries of that. I have a project and none of the songs use this plugins. I load them earlier to test, but i remove them. how can i delete the instrumts ?. this give me the large memory usage in 64bit waveform.
