Have been doing some work in HIVE and wanted to share.

7 patches all from scratch. All include modwheel or aftertouch or both. Read through the patch notes to get the most out of them. Demo and patch notes included in the download.

PATCH AND DEMO NOTES

PAD Clangorous Bell ENV
- First Demo Patch: 10 second demo, second half uses MW.
- LFO1 = Inverse modulates the FILT1 Cutoff slightly to produce a slightly "clangorous" tone
- KT = modulation of FILT1 Cutoff
- MW = Adds inverse MOD1 - a little (try < 1/3 MW) for eerie timbre. More for fall/rise effect


PAD Clangorous Bell
- Not included in Demo (very similar to first patch)
- LFO1 = Inverse modulates the FILT1 Cutoff slightly to produce a slightly "clangorous" tone
- MW = Delay Mix up to 50% - If you want a more pure bell sound use this one with a little MW


KEY Clang Piano
- Patch starts at 00:10
- Uses recursive envelope modulation trick from the manual
- Key follow and Velocity modulate OSC2 tune to add realistic piano dissonance
- MW = A touch of Release


PAD Soft Corners High Edges - Ensemble
- Patch starts at 00:22
- Demo is only one held chord. Ensemble movement and short trill effect are all LFO movement with Random modifier
- Poly Filter Sweeps
- Play 2 or 3 note chords or arpegiated chords and hold
- Try With/Without Delay Effect
- Amp2 also controls LFO2 Rate for ensemble effect
- AT = Vibrato Trill effect- Try using AT on one note of a chord
- MW speeds up the ensemble effect (demo includes this)


PAD Metal Aye
- Patch starts at 00:34
- AT to add a slight Resonance and Cutoff beating effect


PAD Industrial Perimeter Sentry
- Patch starts at 01:02
- LFO1 rapid modulation of Cutoff - provides the mechanical sound
- MW = FLT1 LFO Depth and effect of the Cutoff
- MW = FLT1 inverse Resonance
- AT = Vibrato LFO beating of the FLT2 Resonance
- LFO2 modulates PW, Filters, Resonance, and Width


PAD Mech Stomp
- Patch starts at 01:27
- OSC1 & 2 Input gain high to drive the filters
- Heavy Compression to avoid clipping
- PWM via LFO1
- MW = FILT1 Cutoff and inverse Resonance via Vibrato LFO



MW = modwheel
AT = aftertouch (pressure)
KT = key tracking
PWM = pulse width modulation
