But what we don't know is for those of us with some seperate T-Racks plugins, who decide to use one of them to upgrade to T-Racks 5 MAX, what happens to those plugins in terms of being able to sell them? From my perspective, if I upgrade to T-Racks 5 I should be able to sell the seperate T-Racks plugins I have but Peter-IK said to hold off on this because he doesn't know the answer.fmr wrote:[snip...]
But since every T-Racks 5 update in the future will update EVERYTHING that is in there. the v5 (so to spreak) plug-ins are safe to go for the future.
My two cents

Oh.... well, that's a deal breaker. Guess I'll be dropping IK in the same folder with Waves.Peter - IK Multimedia wrote:Confirmed: T-RackS 5 is 64-bit only.
I have hardware/driver compatibility issues that has me stuck on Win7/32-bit. At some point, I am going to have to overall/replace the core of my studio, but that's not going to be any time soon. /sigh

Often all the big changes in the DAW are best do at the same time. I moved to the 64 bit host, changed the OS to Win 10 and got a new laptop with the SSD 10 months ago. The old 32 bit plugins, which are not updated, are bridged to my new setup.

Would be really cool if the "Crossgrade/Upgrade" section scanned your account (individual T-Racks plugins owned) and gave you a custom upgrade. As it stands, I'd have to upgrade from Stealth or the Master EQ, shell out on "Transfer Credits" for the remaining leftover plugins I have and spend months agonising in the Buy & Sell trying to get rid of them. I'd be willing to forfeit all of my existing single T-Racks plugins for a more enticing upgrade cost to MAX - going clean slate.

Personally, I am thinking of staying away from this product because this rollout is very confusing and there are unanswered questions. Often with these kinds of complex upgrade roll-outs it ends up biting me in the ass and I have regrets. I have so many other plugins that it's not a critical thing for me. I should probably just sell my IK T-Racks products so I don't have to worry about these kinds of upgrades in the future. Too bad they made it so complicated.MogwaiBoy wrote:Would be really cool if the "Crossgrade/Upgrade" section scanned your account (individual T-Racks plugins owned) and gave you a custom upgrade. Well, for me, also, if I was certain that I would be able to sell them, I could just keep T-Racks Grand (which was where I started, a long time ago), and sell everything else (and I mean EVERYTHING) and then use the T-Racks Grand to upgrade to T-Racks 5 MAX for 140 euros, taking advantage of the Jam Points I have - but that's too much trouble, and I would have to thrown an extra 70 euros for the time being, and then try to get rid of the rest...plexuss wrote:Personally, I am thinking of staying away from this product because this rollout is very confusing and there are unanswered questions. Is there anyone here that's looking for some plug-ins, like British Bundle, the API emulations, Neve emulations, Stealth Limiter, Master EQ, Saturator X, etc.?
OTOH, I would loose the v4 of these...

I'm happy to help clear up any confusion and I've relayed the confusion to management so there can be future improvement.
Unfortunately in simplification there was confusion - the 99.99 pre-order special was meant to simplify things as well as having few T-RackS versions going forward (and making it easier to migrate from these many previous versions/options into a more simplified system). There was also confusion with the three simplified options available since we decided to price the T-RackS 5 MAX upgrade
the same as T-RackS Deluxe for those that have a product 99.99+ registered to their account.
I also posted the FAQ as a resource which I hope helps with a lot of the questions http://cgi.ikmultimedia.com/ikforum/vie ... 13&t=14225

Just read through the FAQ. My questions are not answered. My question is, in FAQ form:
If I buy the pre-order of T-Racks 5 MAX using one of my qualifying T-Racks 4 products, can I then sell/transfer my other T-Racks 4 products without affecting what I get with T-Racks 5 MAX?
and
What happens with the qualifying T-Racks 4 product I use to buy the pre-order upgrade? (eg. Can I sell it)
and
Is the value of the T-Racks 4 product I want to use to upgrade to T-Racks 5 the regular price or the price I paid for it?

About transferring your old version plugins/suite after purchasing the T-RackS 5 MAX upgrade, that has now been answered in the aforementioned FAQ

Hi Peter:
Just a quick question, because I like to clarify what I don't understand. For T-Racks 5 you are offering three flavours: Basic, Deluxe and Max. Here is the offer for Deluxe:
T-RackS 5 Deluxe
22 processors
Pre-order Price!
(€368.99)
€199.99 excl. VAT
And here is the offer for Max:
T-RackS 5 MAX
38 processors
Starting from
(€368.99)
€199.99 excl. VAT
So, the pre-order price for Deluxe and Max is the same. The future price for Deluxe and Max is the same. Who, in his right mind, would choose Deluxe when they can have Max for the same price? Am I missing something?

Added that to the FAQ per my post above.plexuss wrote: If I buy the pre-order of T-Racks 5 MAX using one of my qualifying T-Racks 4 products, can I then sell/transfer my other T-Racks 4 products without affecting what I get with T-Racks 5 MAX?
Also part of the added FAQ entry. What happens with the qualifying T-Racks 4 product I use to buy the pre-order upgrade? (eg. Can I sell it)
This is covered in the text accompanying the upgrade button on the T-RackS 5 page:Is the value of the T-Racks 4 product I want to use to upgrade to T-Racks 5 the regular price or the price I paid for it?
This is the value of the product not what you paid.from any previously purchased product of a value of $/€99.99 or more.

Beauty! Thanks for the clarification, Peter!If I upgrade to T-RackS 5 MAX, can I sell/transfer my previous T-RackS plugins/collection?
You can, with two caveats: 1) If you sell the 99.99+ product that qualified you for the upgrade, you will not be able to authorize and use T-RackS 5 MAX and 2) Your previous projects/sessions using v4 T-RackS plugins will no longer find those plugins after you transfer them or the collection which contained them.
