Perhaps you're right - about posting on Mackie's site.
Maybe we'd get results if we stopped being so reasonable and lost our temper?
Just joking.
The final mix hype here at the site has definately died off with talk returning to T2. Meanwhile, mac users are still waiting, and waiting...
The last update (with final mix for pc) was dated July 15th but didn't come out till the middle of August (about a month). "Mac version coming soon" suggests to me that Jules may have finished it or even submitted it for bug testing. What I think is really happening now is that Mackie is quality checking all the releases, has limited personel to do so and just let the mac version become a lower priority. Jules was much better at keeping the pc and mac version releases current and compatible.

Technically this *is* a mackie question. I suspect Jules is quite happy to let the '3rd party' status of Final Mix be his ticket out of the issue.
Pester Mackie, and assuming their *is* a finished version of FM for the Mac, they may be motivated to release it.

*Technically* more than 50% of the queries here are Mackie questions...I was just asking my KvR mates if they had heard anything...
Now I admit that is somewhat lazy on my part, but the MAckie forums just don't cut it for me...
I'll keep waiting patiently

From the tone of his post however, James wasn't, and it was James I was replying to.sixnon wrote:*Technically* more than 50% of the queries here are Mackie questions...I was just asking my KvR mates if they had heard anything...
Oh, and I said nothing about using the Mackie forum -- the internet equivalent of tossing a paper hosting bottle into the Atlantic. If I were a mac user I'd be mailing beno and anyone else I could think of within mackie to see what was going on.

cool enough Valley,
Just wanted to be clear 'cause it seems that every time I ask a Mac related question I seem to be lectured about the fairness or otherwise of the different platform release patterns...I did
in my post to indicate I was light hearted about the whole affair ... I'm not having a go at anyone, least of all you..

BTW, I wasn't lecturing you or James, I was agreeing. I'm not convinced the mac version even exists at this point, but if it does, the release really ought to be made available.

Good
Actually the balance seems to have tipped in the favour of "nahhh, I'll stick with my existing mastering plugs" kind of response from the PC mob and as James said the hype died down fairly rapidly...
Nonetheless..I'd like to have a look, not being a Waves or T-Racks owner!

It's now been about a month since Mackie posted "mac version coming soon" in the release notes for the current version - 1.6.0.1.
Beno, we're still waiting.
Thanks.
